Without the incredible support from Chad Lintick of Hyperlight Electrical Services Inc. and Thewayhometeam.ca - Tim Lintick - Barrie Real Estate the bouncy obstacle course from Moonwalk Bouncers at our STEAM / ECO Fair (Open to the public, Thurs. June 8th 4pm -7:30pm.) wouldn't be possible! So much gratitude for all of our sponsors making this year's fundraising fair a fun and successful event!

Our school is interested in doing something similar to this but we need some help getting larger sized river stone. If you have any or know where we can get some (need approx. 300) please let us know! This would be a great activity for our kids and a great addition to our school yard!!!

Barrie Public Library is gonna be one of our most popular vendors at this year's ECO + STEAM Fun Fair Fundraiser! (Open to the public, Thurs. June 8th 4pm -730pm.) With cool interactive games and info about their summer camps, we're so excited and grateful to have them come out and support our school!

Our End of Year - ECO + STEAM Fair (Thurs. June 8th, 4-7PM) is fast approaching and we have a bunch of amazing local sponsors to thank! This will be our first year as an officially recognized Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) eco school and pollution/water stewards, that we won't be selling plastic water bottles! Thanks to the amazing generosity of Event Water Solutions coming out to fill up water bottles via an equally generous donation from MEC! Stay tuned for mor...e partner/sponsor shout-outs, including all of the fun and interactive activities and vendors coming out to support our school and athletics fundraising efforts! Huge shout outs to Fox's Bakery and Deli and The Lion's Club of Barrie who have partnered with our school's End of Year Fair for 3 years going strong in running the BBQ. This year, in particular, the Lion's Club sponsored a new scoreboard for school athletics helping us get that much closer to our fundraising goals this year of improving upon intramural sports and recreation opportunities for JSPS students. Thank-you SO much for championing our school, much gratitude!... This year's ECO/STEAM Fair ---> https://www.facebook.com/events/466321950381921/

With this year's Fun Fair fast approaching you might be wondering about the theme: STEAM! You’ve probably heard of STEM before (science, technology, engineering and math) since the term has been around for awhile now. This program encourages children to be inventive, to communicate their ideas to others and to learn by doing. STEAM, however advocates for adding art into the mix, which helps bridge the gap between critical thinking and creativity. This approach gives kids the tools and knowledge to draw on design principles and standards to come up with creative solutions! Check out this Pinterest board with some fun activities to get you started at home!
