Our trucks are hard at work now! We are so thankful to have such a great team of drivers!
Our crew is working hard to get the silage covered for winter! Mother Nature is at it again giving them a windy day!
We have a busy crew today! We have been busy putting up silage for well over a month. Today we started to combine barley. Hopefully Mother Nature is more cooperative during harvest than she was while we were doing the silage!

What an awesome day! Thank you for all the support for such a worthy cause!
I have donated a calf for this sale. As most of you know the Cross Cancer Institute and I became friends about 7 yrs ago. It is a very special place for those ...of us that have to be there. The staff and volunteers are wonderful and go out of their way to make patients feel loved! Please support a worthy cause if you can. See more
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!!!
2018 harvest has begun!
‘‘Tis the season! Day 2 of 2018 silage!
This old guy is missing and presumed stolen (his lead rope is missing and his paddock gate was done up all wrong) out of the Lac La Biche area. He is dearly mis...sed. Was last seen Saturday morning and was gone by this morning. The worst fear is that he has been stolen and sent for meat. Please share. His owner doesn’t have FB but would really appreciate getting his old boy back to his happy retirement. See more
Thank you for sharing my post of Ken’s stolen truck! It was found safe! We really appreciate the concern you have for this and thanks to the sharing it was found out by Jarvie out of fuel and stuff missing. But at least it’s in one piece and useable. Thanks again!
Hi! Last night my boss Ken Stanley was out in his field cutting hay when some %{*#! nice person took off with his truck similar to this picture. It has a tool box in the back. If you see it somewhere please let the RCMP know. Thank you!! UPDATE: ITS BEEN FOUND SAFE! Thank you to all that have shared this post-it was because of your concern that we were able to get the truck back! Thank you all!!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CANADA!!!
Mother Nature sure has made this spring a challenge! Let’s hope spring is truly here and our cow-calf producers get a much needed break!!!
Happy Agriculture Day!

SEASONS GREETINGS TO ALL OUR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS! May the spirit of the holidays be with you all the year thru!
Such a cool pic of one of our units heading west! The moon is so bright you can see Mount Robson in the back ground. Thank you, Walter, for sharing!
Such a powerful message! Hats off to all the farmers out there spending endless hours feeding the world!
Moved south today.
We had a plow wind go thru our area last night. Lots of damage - wind fences leaning, trees down all over the neighborhood, granaries relocated! There were snapped power poles near the feedlot. A huge shout out to Fortis Alberta employees who worked tirelessly to replace the poles and restore the power! We are truly thankful!!
Getting close to finishing our silaging and have started to combine barley! Busy times in our fields right now!
Had a visitor in our barley field today.
Congratulations Ron Maul on your 25 year anniversary with Jubilee! Awesome dedication! Thank you for all you do for us!
Heading out to the field. Fingers crossed that lots of acres get seeded!
Happy Easter!!!!
Fun fact for the day: 4 oz. beef from steer given hormones has 1.6 nanograms of estrogen while 4 oz. beef from untreated steer has 1.2 nanograms of estrogen. Co...mpare this to 4 oz. raw cabbage has 2700 ng estrogen and the average soy latte (one cup of soymilk) has 30,000 nanograms of estrogen (realfarmersrealfood.com) See more
What a beautiful day. Hope everyone is enjoying the gorgeous weather
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!
Merry Christmas to all our neighbors, customers and friends! May you enjoy your time with family and friends and may 2017 be a prosperous and memorable one!
Getting 'r done! Harvest 2016 officially done!!
We moved the replacements to their winter home this morning.
Is there a difference between an A&W Teen burger (left) and a McDonald's Quarter Pounder (right)? In terms of taste, texture, convenience and maybe your fond ch...ildhood memories, you might think yes, there is a big difference. But in terms of hormones, there isn't a heck of a lot, unlike what A&W has led you to believe. I haven't purchased a Teen Burger or anything from A&W (other than today for demonstration purposes only ) since 2013 when their "Better Beef" campaign started. We all saw the misleading and cheeky ads that their beef was somehow "better" because they didn't contain any added hormones. In an indirect way, we were led to believe that hormones were bad for us and so was the beef you were eating at places other than A&W. On the other hand, McDonald's purchases beef from Canadian farmers who use hormones. The beef in the Quarter Pounder has about 3.5 ng of estrogen in it. The beef in the Teen burger, which was "raised without the use of added hormones" and likely sourced from a different country (uhhhh hemmm, flown across the world) has about 2.5 ng of estrogen. Is that 1 ng of estrogen a huge difference? Nope, but A&W has you thinking it is. What if I told you that the bun on the burger has about 50,000 ng of estrogen? Or that as a woman, I produce about 500,000 ng of estrogen DAILY or even cabbage, of all things has 5,500 ng. That 1 ng of estrogen seems like a pretty slick marketing tactic now with further context. What A&W and other food companies promoting "raised without the use of added hormones" are not mentioning is that hormones help us farmers be more environmentally sustainable. In Canada and the US, farmers can give their cattle hormones (or growth promotants) early on to help the animal process their food more efficiently into muscle tissue. If we didn't use these hormones, it would take 12% more cattle, 11% more feed, 10% more land and create 10% more greenhouse gases (aka more manure) to produce the same amount of beef. Those numbers are far more substantial and important than 1 ng of estrogen. This isn't a post to sway you into not supporting your local farmer who decides to raise his/her cattle based on what they feel is best for their animals and farm. This is to show you that you don't need to fear your food and there is always more to the story than a label. Ultimately, the food you buy is safe. Us farmers, whether we use hormones or not, are proud to raise and grow safe and affordable food for you and your family. Now I'm going to enjoy my McDonald's 100% Canadian-beef burger and throw the Teen Burger to the farm cats For more information on hormones used in beef: http://www.beefresearch.ca//qa-on-conventional-production/ http://www.iowabeefcenter.org/information/IBC48.pdf #agproud #agvocate #farm365 MacDonalds #agmorethanever #farm365 A&W Canada #askafarmer
