New product alert Fresh stone-ground Buckwheat Flour grown organically and milled here in PEC. No industrial processing and no strange ingredients here. We slowly stone grind our buckwheat at a low temperature to preserve nutrients and maximize flavour.... Freshness is especially key with buckwheat. Buckwheat starts to go rancid quickly and develops a bitter taste if not stored properly in the fridge or freezer. Our special packaging is designed to prevent oxidation of important vitamins and minerals, locking in freshness for optimal nutrition and taste.

Bless your heart Mr. Bill Gates but we don't want your lab grown meat or your chemical clouds (solar engineering). The answer is so simple Reposted from @sustainabledish One of the questions I'm asked most frequently is: "Regenerative agriculture sounds great, but can it be done at scale?" ... Short answer: yes. I crunch the numbers in the book, Sacred Cow, to showcase that not only do we have the land for a regenerative food system, but it also translates to healthier people, communities, economies, soil, water cycles, mineral cycles, and more wildlife. A regenerative food system will look different depending on the ecosystem, but we can make the shift from an extractive, reductionist approach to a holistic, interconnected approach. Will it happen overnight? No. We'll need fundamental shifts in government programs, dissolution of corporate integrators, incentive structures for farmers and ranchers who adopt regenerative practices, and a reeducation of our population about regional, resilient, culturally appropriate food systems to make profound headway. But it's possible, and it's my hope that Sacred Cow can help be a part of this shift. To watch the film, signup at www.sacredcow.info Free viewing from now until November 30th.

Just a couple announcements: Starting December 1st our farm stand will be open Saturday and Tuesday's only 10AM to 6PM. We've been go, go, go for the last five years and feel it's time to take some much needed down time to rejuvenate and reset for the year ahead (Papa Ed included). Tomorrow (Saturday) we will have fresh pumpkin pie (sourdough Red Fife crust) for the last time this season. Fresh Sourdough Red Fife Oatmeal Chocolate Chip cookies too!
