This was honestly the sweetest little wedding I've been to; could not have been a better wedding for me to start with. I will be posting photos here as I finish them. Tag yourself or anyone you know.... PLease feel free to Like and Share

The Double L 4-H Club horses members, and some strays as well, showing remarkably at the winter fair.

This had to be the hardest session I've had to do to date, but I was beyond happy to agree to doing these photos when I was asked. Meet Naomi, Alice, and Nathan, and their magnificant steeds, Prince and Tango. Prince was the little white unicorn that taught so many little girls about their love of horses. I've known Prince since, I dont even know how little I was. He was the unofficial mascot for the Double L 4-H Club, almost every year he was a unicorn for the costume classe...s. He went through 4-H for almost as long as I have, always one of the favourites among everyone and has truely touched the hearts of those that had the chance to learn from him, and those that just got to know him. Tango on the otherhand, was a ranch horse that unfortunately got used and abused and pushed too hard, but thankfully ended up in the hands of this caring family that did nothing but love him. For a ranch horse, he did exceptionally well showing in the 4-H program, you wouldve never been able to guess his past from his curious and freindlt nature. These old guys shared the most adorable bromance, never straying too far from each other, and it was only fitting that on Oct 1 2015, with all the love in the world from their family and those that knew them, they both left together, never to be seperated again.

After two months of nonstop projects and stress and prepping my 4-H photo display for winter fair then suffering through the flu, I'm finally starting to get my ducks in a row. Meaning I'll soon be posting photos from the car show and my Alberta trip from way back in August, add some more wedding photos to the album, and get these last few projects up. Hoping things will die down this winter enough that I can work on getting a website and everything running.

Working away on wedding photos, I thought I would share these photos of Zar, who yesterday started her new journey. Zar was the typical sweet old dog who I had the pleasure of meeting numerous times and fortunately was able to grace the wedding, making sure everyone knew she was there and in charge, but to not take the spot light. Zar was loved by many and will surely be missed.

Took a break from record books to work on a few photos from a wedding this past weekend. More photos and details to come, so stay tuned! This was my first wedding, and it literally could not have been a more perfect wedding to call my first! A small intimate backward wedding with close friends and family and top it off with purple decor and horses; I made sure to take lots of notes! Please feel free to Like and Share.

Just a quick edit from my Canadian Rockies trip since I won't be able to get to them for a little bit while I work on some 4-H stuff; hopefully won't have to wait too long as I am very much looking forward to doing those photos. Here I took a quick dip in Kinney Lake at the base of Mt Robson; surprisingly, getting into the glacier water wasn't that bad, however stay in was a nit of a different story, went numb rather quickly! I was finally able to pick up this book while browsing the gift shop at Maligne Lake waiting for my "Through The Lens" photo cruise. Paul Zizka is one of my favourite photographers, he is the 1st of 4 who have greatly inspired and influence my passion for landscapes and the desire to evoke an emotion in people through photography. The beauty throughout his photos from places right outside your back door, to a different view of places you've seen a million times, is beyond as...tounding. The money in photography may be in shooting people and events, but if one day I achieve the technical, physical, and emotional ability and experience to go to places such as he does and to experience the views he sees, I would be more than content to take passion over wealth. #paulzizka #summitsandstarlight #thecanadianrockies

Currently working away on a event I did recently, and thought I would share a "version" of this photo since I was playing around with it a bit in my tiredness, however, the photo will be different later when I finish up this event and get it posted. **Intrigued to know if anyone can guess the color of this jeep.** Please feel free to Like and Share.

Some shots from this weekends Click N Coffee with one of my favourite photographers, ryan fisher nature photographer, was a small group as the weather was not too favourable; the intent of the trip was suppose to get some star/night shots, however the clouds wanted to be the centre of attention and we made do with the weather until we were rained out. Thanks to another photographer whose work I admire, I got to try out a lens I've had my eyes on since before christmas, which I loved and will hopefully be getting in the near future! A couple of quick edits from the 4-H Jr Camp 2015 Dance; stayed a little longer to get some star shots, then someone pulled out a bunch of glowsticks and well, this is what happened... Please feel free to Like and Share.

I ended up hurting my hand at work this week which has lead me with very little to do, however, that means I have all the more time to catch up on photos. Last week my 4-H club headed to Armstrong for Stock Show, a 4 day event for the horse and beef projects. I don't know much about the beef side of the show, but for horse members, it consists of 3 days of lesson and ground school and ends with a show. I went out Wednesday night after work as they were having their showmansh...ip classes that evening, and managed to get there just in time for the final prep before classes started in the dreaded Agriplex (I still do not like shooting indoors) Unfortunately, although not as intensive, I wasn't able to make it through all the photos before my hand grew tired and sore, making me agitated, however I quite adored this photo and thought I would share it. Was finally able to finish a few more shots from the portrait session with Ally Crawford; not having a set editing pattern, I've been enjoying playing around with different ways to edit and the variety of moods that can be created. Slowly getting caught up with all my photos while I play around with numerous techniques, from photo styles to photo editing. Please feel free to Like and Share.

Took a break from editing to do some catching up on some photos from various events. This was a despooking clinic with Debbie Hughes that was put on by the Double L 4-H Club a few weeks back now.

A sneak peak from a session earlier this week at Versatile Studios in Cherry Creek with Gary, my photo mentor, and my friend and fellow 4-H member, Ally, to start my journey on portrait work. We ended up avoiding the worst of Tuesdays large storm by shooting indoors in the studio where I got to learn more about the different kinds of lighting can be used and the various ways to use them, before venturing outside after the storm for some more natural portraits. As I take a large leap into the world of editing, my turnover of photos may be a little slower till I get the hang of things but after a week of trying to figure out the basics, hopefully not too slow. June 20-21 2015 Please feel free to tag yourself and anyone else you know or recognize. Was an interesting Fathers Day weekend with weather to match; from sunny and windy, to pouring down rain, to scorching hot, and the herds made sure to keep things interesting as well with only a couple jumping the fence.... I was originally going to post 400 (200 for each day) but when you have 5444 photos to sort and choose from, narrowing the photos down any more was near impossible as I wanted to make sure everyone had a few photos. And I tried to make sure I photographed everyone, so I apologize if I missed anyone. Enjoy and dont forget to Like and Share.
