UPDATE: I will no longer be accepting new clients
Today I was told I was a business who wasn’t worth supporting. A small business who spends half of her day disinfecting, changing her clothes in between clients when it’s not required. All to keep my clients safe. Reminder: I am human and I’m allowed to refuse treatment of clients. ... Reminder: I live with a cancer survivor and I have a lung condition. Reminder: I treat clients with COPD, cancer patients, pregnant mamas, and the elderly. Reminder: I follow majority of my clients on social media. I see stuff I DON’T necessarily want to see, especially during a pandemic. If I see that you’re not taking COVID seriously, gathering with large numbers, I have the human right to decline service. Reminder: I’ve consulted with Peterborough public health and they’ve advised me that plastic face coverings are not effectIve and are not alternatives to masks. Plastic face coverings are not acceptable at PRHC and will not be acceptable in my home clinic. Reminder: BE FREAKING KIND Comment below telling me one good thing that has happened to you recently, or one kind thing you have done for someone else
Happy Family Day Thankful everyday for my family. Thankful for friends who have turned into family. Thankful for my work family who makes work fun. How are you spending Family Day?...
KEEP GOING #bellletstalk
Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas . A huge thank you for everyone who made 2020 so successful. Yesterday I dropped off a trunk full of food that was donated by the community to the food drive at Sacred Heart Church here in Peterborough. How is everyone celebrating over the holidays?... #Peterborough #ptbocanada #ptbo #ptbokawartha #ptbobusiness #fooddrives #giveback See more
WHO WANTS A FREE 90 MINUTE MASSAGE?! Yes you read that right! I’ve been planning this for WEEKS and today is finally the day! With every non perishable food item that you bring in, your name will be entered into a draw. 1 item = 1 ballot. 2 items = 2 ballots. ... Not a client? Don’t sweat it! DM, call or text me at 705-930-5967 and set up a time to do a porch drop off. Lucky winner will be chosen and food will be donated to a local food bank on Saturday, December 19th. - Julia Burke, RMT See more
I always loved the house next to my parents, so I decided to continue being the Princess on Princess Street

Happy Monday!! With the cooler weather approaching (brb thinking of pumpkin spice latte), I decided to get creative. POCKET WARMERS are the perfect solution to cold hands. Stick them in the microwave for 30-40 seconds and enjoy the warmth.... They’re 4x4 cotton material which means they can be thrown in the microwave. If you’re clumsy like me and get things dirty very easily, you’ll love the fact that they’re washable. The top layer can be slipped off and thrown in the wash! These pocket warmers are sold in pairs, for $10. Different sizes and patterns coming soon! @ Peterborough, Ontario See more
PREGNANCY . . I’ve treated lots of mamma’s. Some first time mom’s who have no idea about pregnancy. Some on their second or third pregnancy. ... This handy little pillow allows mom’s to lie on their tummy, until their body doesn’t want them to anymore. Some find it comfortable until they give birth, some only until the third trimester. There’s holes for your breasts and an adjustable hole for your growing tummy. Some tips that I tell my pregnant clients: 1 use the bathroom upon arrival, you’ll thank me. 2 if you’re uncomfortable, tell me! We can remove the pillow and treat sideline (you lie on your side). 3 tell me if you’re hot .. hormones are running high and you’ve got a baby growing in you - an easy solution is to uncover your feet. 4 feel free to bring a clean bath robe. You never know if you’ll need to use the bathroom again half way through the treatment. A bath robe is an easy solution so you don’t have to get fully dressed! See more
Have I treated you before? Did you like your treatment? I’m asking anyone who is willing to spare 2 minutes out of your busy day to leave a review about your treatment & experience. It is greatly appreciated

HAPPY 4TH ANNIVERSARY TO ME!! What a crazy ride. I started my career out at Ste. Annes Spa in Grafton and knew from the first day, that I chose the correct career path. After 1.5 years, I slowly geared my practice to the clinical setting. Now we’re here, four years being an RMT with a terrifying and exciting announcement. ... I won’t lie, it’s been a stressful four months for me. From being off work for 3 months while still paying rent to keep my spot at the clinic I rent from, to going back to work June 1st not knowing what was going to happen to my business. 25 days being back to work, I received some bad news that the landlord wasn’t renewing my lease. I’m not looking for pity (trust me I ate a lot of ice cream and felt bad for myself). I’m being brutally honest with my clients so they know where I’m coming from. As of August 1st, I will be temporarily working from out of my house. The treatment room and living space will be VERY separate. I’m also working with an extremely talented realtor here in Peterborough on purchasing my first home to run my business out of. My first priority is finding the perfect clinic space - a central location here in Peterborough as well as keeping my clinic space and living space completely separate. The next few months are going to be scary but I’m so excited to see whats in store for the future. I hope you come along for the ride! -Julia Burke, RMT See more
