In 1956 my Nonna and Nonna with their 3 daughters, my Zias, came to this amazing country that I am blessed to call home, Canada. Canada gave us a life that my grandparents could only dream of. Thank you Nonno and Nonna for choosing Canada to build a beautiful life. #CanadaDay2020
I am so glad we are Canadians, and have the good fortune to live in Oakville. Today our family was fortunate to have four generations together to plant our vegetable gardens at the corner of Dundas and Neyagawa in Oakville. This is our 9th straight year. The gardening in past years has had many contributors from the Healthy Fam program to plant and harvest. We are very fortunate to have one of the gardens raised so it is accessible for all. This year with the pandemic, our f...amily is doing the gardening. We are excited to share the bounty of this year's gardens to support the Kerr Street Mission healthy food focus at their food bank. I want to thank a number of companies who make this possible, including Rosehaven Homes, and Starlane Homes who generously donate the land for the gardens every year, as well as DenBok Landscaping and Longo's for the supplies this year. Today felt good! There is no way to slack off when trying to keep up with my 82yr old mother in the garden! Together we are better. Thanks to our many contributors.
This week we are very grateful for community grocery donations to be able to cook a meal at Ritorno with my family for Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital staff. We're thankful for all that our medical professionals do for us every day, and it felt good to treat them with some food love!
We are fortunate in Oakville to have community donors who allow us to cook meals for our community during our restaurant closure. Thanks to volunteers from ArtHouse Halton for delivering to people and thanks to our donors. Together we are better! #weekend #food #nutrition
Happy Mother's Day to my mother. She is known as Nonna to many . Her strength, sharp mind and and work ethic are inspirational . Everyone misses her gnocchi .We are dreaming of the day she is back in the Ritorno kitchen, showing the young ones what an 82 year old woman can do. We miss you Mom. #mothersday #happymothersday

Standing and walking alongside in solidarity an estimated 500 members from our Oakville community this afternoon. So proud of our community and especially to all our young citizens. They are the future, they are the change. Believe in them and our world is instantly better!
