Another small painting in the series of small works on paper done from home. Water-based paint and ink, 5 x 7 inches, 13 x 18 cm. I like the movement and arcing forms in this piece. I used white acrylic ink to create similar organic forms over the ultramarine. Series of small works on paper done at home. Water-based paint and ink, 5 x 7 inches, 13 x 18 cm. I began with random strokes of ultramarine blue and of iridescent orange. Then I began adding shapes and washes of watercolour as well as white acrylic ink using an old-fashioned dip pen. Artist Juliana McDonald working in her studio. Even while the world is seemingly turning faster and faster, in the artists' studio, time is in a different realm.... Normally, we open our sanctuaries once a year, but this year we present to you only curbside and digitalized. The artboxes were a tremendous success for 66 lucky buyers, and the digital part of our open studio is kicking off on Thursday 15th of Oct at 7 pm. Watch this space!
