Do you think 2021 is going to be a hot year for real estate? ..ya, you’re right. December 2020 was our hottest December on record. Usually this means the beginning of the following year is going to be nuts. Well, we’re 7 days into the year and I can already tell you, it’s going to be busy. 2 things to note:... 1) If you’re planning to get into the market for the first time or if you’re upsizing, better to do it sooner than later. If home prices increase 10% this year, better to upsize now and have that more expensive home increase in value after you buy it, rather than paying that increased price at the end of the year. 2) If you’re downsizing, there’s no real rush at this time but definitely speak to your real estate advisor. Everyone’s situation is different. Keep yourself informed by reaching out to your realtor. That’s always the best strategy. And of course, I’m always here to answer any questions you have.
