It’s All About LOVE The reason for any season of my life is bigger than any perfection or stress or pressure I put upon myself. I release expectations and accept everything just as it is, now. Life is all about LOVE. Truth. Life is all about relationships. With ourselves, our beloved, the Universe/Creator, our children, family, friends, coworkers, and the list goes on. We can only love others to the extent of the relationship we have with ourselves. If we only kind-of-love ourselves, or only love ourselves in certain conditions or situations, we can then only love others conditionally. I don’t know about you, but I can tell when someone loves me conditionally. When they only love me when I can give, do or serve them in a particular way. That isn’t real love. That is manipulation. The moment that we start releasing ourselves from expectations from self-imposed pressures is the moment that we begin to love freely, with all abandonmentunconditionally. No judgement, just pure unadulterated love. How do we release those expectations, especially when we have carried them around for a lifetime? Well, for starters, we get out of our own way. Stress is found in the wishing that things were different than they currently are. Things just are. They aren’t permanent but ever changing. When we step into the mindset that things are what they are, we begin to create room for ourselves and others to show up differently. It isn’t a dismissive mindset, it doesn’t undercut or invalidate us or others. Rather, it challenges us to be present to the moment at hand, to understand what we actually have influence over. It’s surrender, if you will. Close your eyes for a moment and take a breath. Inhale. Exhale. See how natural it is to let go of the breath? We aren’t meant to hang on. Now, what happens when that oxygen comes into your body where does it go and what does it do? Do you have control over it reaching your big toe or does it just flow there naturally? Do you stress and pressure it to provide sustenance to every cell of your body or does it feed you automatically, without you having to do a single thing? Each inhale and exhale happens in its own moment, just as it is, whether you expect it to or not. This week we are challenged to let things move in and out of each moment naturally without grip or force. To be in the flow of love in all relationships without expectation or conditions. The current of love is strong and natural just like our breath. We were born to love. We were created in love, through love. Let’s step out of resistance and into the awareness that things just are how they are right now, understanding its impermanence and reveling in the sweetness of a life flowing in love. Xo Juli
