Words cannot express the heaviness I have been carrying this week - I know that many like me are in the same place, feel the same weight, and wish they had an outlet for the pain, frustration, and sadness of continually being unheard, disrespected, and minimized. I don't know what to say anymore about the horrible things that keep happening to Black people or the people who do them for whom excuses are always made. I'm tired of "having a bad day", "I made a mistake", or "I wa...s scared - they looked dangerous" being proffered as an excuse for murder. Sick of it. Tired. TIRED. Tired of the people who perpetrate crimes against innocent people of colour being glorified and given a voice; tired of walls getting justice but people getting none. Tired. Sad. Disheartened. But you know what?
