A little break to let you know we do more than just weddings :) A long time ago I promised myself that I would only work on events that matter. Today is no exception. Through my work with Canadian Housing and Renewal Association we have put together virtual meetings with 32 Members of Parliament and members of the housing community to discuss Housing and Homelessness in Canada, and that really does matter. #events #housing #community #canada #affordablehousing #homelessness #communities #realestate

I want to tell you about this moment that @ghattasweddings captured. I am (obviously) no stranger to a wedding, and I have often told people that I have become immune to the feelings in a wedding day. Yes, I am so lucky to be able to see so much love and I am always celebrating the love two people have for each other but for me it’s often more about the logistics of the day. That’s why you pay me the big bucks right!? Well this moment GOT me. I’m not sure if it is becaus...e French is a more powerful love language but duuuuude I was crying like a little baby during this whole speech. from the moment I met you I knew you would always be my priority. And that hit me, deeply. So I want all of you to go to the people you love and tell them they are a priority -do right now!!!(or still a priority if you been together forever), cause man I’m sure they would love to hear it. And if you’re not so good at expressing things, feel free to just tag them here. But, know that it might make me cry. See more

We haven’t been posting as much as we should. But, we are here and working on events. COVID has forced us to pivot a tiny bit and focus more on our corporate clients, and switching them to virtual events. But fear not! Yesterday was an actual dream. We cooked up the idea for The Great Canadian Wedding Giveaway to put a little love in the world during a pandemic. We offered frontline workers the chance to win a wedding ceremony from us and some of our wedding industry friends. Two days before we announced the winners some of the restrictions were lifted and put winners decided to add on a small reception. These past few months have been trying for all of us but especially those have been working on the front lines dealing with a pandemic in a very different way from all of us. We’ve got some pretty heavy hearts over here. We haven’t posted, aside from a story showing our support for the #blacklivesmatter movement. Read that again, the movement and all people of colour have our support-and if you don't like that you can get the f out of here, and unfollow us. As a company we are promising to do better in what we do to be more inclusive. Especially in our marketing! Note from our #bosslady: I’ve had to check my #whiteprivilege more than I wo...uld like to admit in my life and am very lucky to have been brought up in a school system and community that has exposed me to many races and cultures. But I am committed to checking my white privilege over and over and over until live in a world that is truly anti-racist. I will continue to steer our business to deliver weddings to ALL races and to continue to work on #indigenous events wherever possible. I am also committing to continuing to learn, listen and evolve. Woah... it’s May, how did that happen?! I feel like this photo was taken just yesterday. But it actually was the end of February when our lovely @gillwebster snapped this one at our annual team meeting. We were meeting to talk about the 2020 season that was about to hit. Instead, two weeks later, we were hit with something else ...... Our first half of the season has been postponed, with more postponements to come I am sure, but we are all still happy and healthy! In the meantime we are all staying home to wait this thing out. #may #weddingplanner #entrepreneur #postponedontcancel #stayhome

One of my favvvvvvvorite moments of any wedding is those crazy few minutes before we send you down the aisle. I usually crack a joke to make you smile, asking dad (or whoever is walking you down the aisle) if they have a tissue, and giving you a last minute flouff. That’s right a flouff. It’s taking a couple minutes making sure you don’t need any dry shampoo, that you have enough lip gloss, that there’s nothing in your teeth and giving you a mint for a minty-fresh kiss Even after 10 years there is still a sense of relief when you’ve made it down the aisle! A little secret: I usually text my mom and say the eagle has landed. And then, I take a big deep breath
