I had a real hard time choosing just one photo to post and because I haven't posted or taken photos for anyone in a long time, I felt the need to post ALL my favourites of this ONE year old boy by the name of Hunter. Indoor photos is always intimidating for me. Mainly because I enjoy just being outside taking pictures and working around the natural good sunshine (if it is out). That is my comfort zone, but challenge is good and getting out of your comfort zone is good too! So thank you to this little wild one, for taking me out of my comfort zone and helping me create these special photos for your family to cherish forever. :)

Finally sharing with you a very special and meaningful Mother and Son session I did before Christmas. These photos were a gift to Treena's mom. She wanted the photos taken at her home farmland. A place she has a lot of cherished memories at. Her late Dad had built certain things on the farmland that she wanted to showcase in the photos like the large shop that is in the background of some. Certain trees were meaningful to her as well. I totally related to all of this and I am sure everyone will. It isn't just the house itself that you create memories in, it's in the backyard, the fields, the bushes that surround your house that become so special as well. Her and Jordan were so much fun to spend time with and I am so honored I was able to capture these photos that she, her Mom, and her son will cherish forever.

Good Morning Tuesday! A bit colder weather out there than what we have been used to. Stay warm and cozy.

This post isn’t to promote these pictures necessarily. It is to explain that when kids are in the picture, things may not go exactly as planned. I think in general, most parents know this, BUT at the time of the family session we want so badly that photo of everyone looking at the picture (in clean clothes and faces) smiling and looking perfect, right? Unfortunately kids don’t get that and don’t care! SO, they sometimes rebel and don’t like to be told to sit still and smile a...nd look at the camera sweetly. Then we as parents, get frustrated and stress because we feel like we are wasting precious time. I am posting this to tell you that what I have explained above I have experienced both personally and as a photographer. I am here to tell you Moms and Dads do not stress. It is okay! We will get the photo. It may not be one exactly you hoped, but we gotta work with it and have some patience. Like all things in parenting, it’s trial and error. If one thing isn’t working, we just gotta try something else. Eventually we will make it work. Patience is KEY! If the child just needs comforted by the parent I take that opportunity and capture it! It usually ends up being a great and natural photo that is full of love. I came across these One Year Photos, I took of Luke. I had high hopes for these pictures. I wanted those cute pictures of the little boy walking and carrying a cute little balloon. You have likely seen the ones. Anyways, as you can see Luke didn’t seem to grasp my creative vision. How rude! So, I had to take my time and think about what I could do to solve the problem.Turns out those cute Osh Kosh overalls weren’t his cup of tea, then throwing in a quick snack seemed to help, then I had to bring out the big guns. The Gator! The thing that will get any little boy out of a funk. So in the end, it wasn’t exactly what I was hoping for, but it is a precious memory captured and frame worthy! In the end, that’s all that matters.

When I first started this page, I said I was going to share both my personal favourites of mine that I have taken just for me and also ones for others. Since I can’t take any for others these days, I thought I would be a little more active with some personal shots I have taken over the years. It did start out as a hobby after all! So here is Lee (my first born), back when he was a bald, drooly little baby.

After taking a much needed social media break for the month of December, I wanted to come back on to wish everyone a Happy Holiday Season. Thank you to all who support my little photography gig. Wishing the world and all of you the best in the year 2021! ... Love Jessie, Julie, Lee, and Luke

Just a girl and her pony. Like all other little girls, she probably imagines it’s a unicorn.

The last session I did before the snow fell. Check out those baby blues! I know it might not be possible right now, but in the future - don't be afraid to book a session in the winter time. Any session I have done in the winter, I always love the way it looks and turns out. We may have frozen fingers and toes afterward, but it is so worth it!

Grandparents are a family’s greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, The greatest storytellers, the keepers of traditions that linger on in cherished memory. Grandparents are the family’s strong foundation. Their very special love sets them apart. Through happiness and sorrow, through their special love and caring, grandparents keep a family close at heart. Unknown I couldn't agree with this quote more.

As a Mom of two boys, I will never get to experience daughters. I am perfectly okay with that. Trust me! Both are equally special for the same and also for different reasons. For pictures, I have been finding it is a slight advantage to have two daughters. Little girls love to get their pictures taken. They love to pose. Boys, not so much which I get and embrace. These two girls fulfilled all those qualities I mentioned. They loved to pose and be infront of the camera. I loved capturing their cute sisterly bond and their bond with their Mom and Dad.
