Traditionally a combination of salted cod fish, hard bread, onions and scrunchions, it's a unique treat enjoyed by so many. Short on supplies? Did you know you can make your own yeast? Two tablespoons is equal to 1 tablespoon of store bought yeast. You can use this recipe in breads, ...pizza dough, bagels and more! Make sure it has room to expand (covering as showing below). Store in the fridge and use as needed. Once weekly feed the yeast with 1 1/2 cup water, 1 1/2 cup flour and 2 TB sugar. When you feed the yeast once weekly you’ll want to make sure you have used or discarded half of the original recipe.
