Really enjoying portraiture. Not sure where I will go next with this one. All technically ok, but needs some life and messiness breathed into it.

Here is my first portrait. I had a ball. While I tried to capture a likeness, and feel I did, that won't always be important to me. I'm more interested in capturing a mood, or perhaps I could wish for an emotion, but not so interested in a "recording". Not sure I won't revisit is, but for now it's in the shelf. "Shannon" 12x12

I was busy painting a large mural. I forgot to take pictures, but will post when I do. In the meantime here is todays. I enjoyed playing- going for a delicate feel, literal but super suggestive.

Not sure where this is going, if anywhere, but I have been restless with my work and want to try something completely new. Feels great to be excited again. Here is a study of my waitress when I was in Mexico. 12"x12" Oil on Gesso
