I had my last client at the Woolwich location yesterday and moved out my furniture and equipment in the afternoon! The plan is to take off 2-3 months with my kiddos while I don’t have the care for them and with all this uncertainty right now take a break. While I’m off my new location will be renovated! While this is my plan, things can be postponed due to Covid, kids being sent home, Reno’s taking longer or being put on hold. I’ll also be offering all my retail items in my online store so you can purchase items to help with your self care at home while I’m off. Items will include foot care, hand care, face care and more. Yes, you read that right, I am taking some time off. Not a week, not a month but a bit longer. My current spa space will be taken over by another business starting in October, so I will stop seeing clients at the end of this month at my current location. . This year has been hard for so many including myself and my family. Having a second baby as a self employed person is tough, then throw in Covid, my own health issues, no child care and the extra cost to do businesswith th...e required PPE and more time betweenclients! It's been difficult to get in all of my clients in a timely manner and who knows what will happen when our kids go back to school (will I have to take time off if my son has the first signs of a cold? Will Covid close schools before the end of the year? Will I get childcare that's safe for our little girl?) . I'm taking this time off to spend with our baby and son until my new space is up and running. It's been an extremely hard decision to make. I worry about taking the time off because it's my own business but I know I will never get this time back with them. I keep hearing all these quotes from my neighbours, friends with kids and family around me. "The days are long but the years are short with your kids" "You'll never say you spent too much time with your family" "Everyone else gets a year mat leave, why do you feel you have to go back so fast" I chose to be self employed to be there for my family when it really matters and that time is right now. . I currently have a waiting list for any cancellations this month if you'd like to be on it please let me know. Melissa also has a few openings left if you would like to see her. . I will still be selling the retail items I sell at the spa which include FootLogix, hand care and skincare. Please reach out if you need anything.
