Today I celebrate another year around the sun!! I am so happy to be here, to have you reading this and to have time with my loved ones. Here are a few things I’ve learned in this last year: 1. Slow down - appreciate the small things in life and remember at the end of the day, there’s a new day to look forward to ... 2.Trust your unfolding. Trust that everything is happening as it needs to for your growth and empowerment 3. When we really take care of ourselves we have much more to offer everyone and everything in our life 4. Time is fast, there’s no replay, no rewind so enjoy every moment as it comes 5. Immersing myself in nature, by water especially is one of the greatest places to heal and recharge 6. When you choose to act out of kindness compassion and love, you are aligned with your true purpose 5 THINGS TO CELEBRATE !! ONE | When we have each other we have everything!!! As I experience another year around the sun I’m thankful to the universe for blessing me with 3 beautiful children who have taught me the importance of putting life in perspective and not to sweat the small stuff and to my loving encouraging partner who always supports and encourages me to live everyday to the fullest ! I care about you, and these mini-meditations are for you. I sense the need as a collective, so the words pour out. This is for you. I hope you know you have the power to steer your life in the direction you desire. This whole month and the uncertainty of lockdown and when it ends or not has made me recognize the need to slow down and take time to consider what fills me up and what’s really important in my life. This is a time of rebirth and transformation both on and off... my yoga mat, and it can be for you too. When we connect to the present moment, we are able to observe the world around us in the stillness that surrounds us. Today I challenge you to shut off those outside invading thoughts and start to take notice of your surroundings. It relaxes you and prepares your body for labour and delivery. It encourages a nourishing relationship between you and your growing baby! There are so many benefits to joining a Yoga Nidra practice, during the month of January I will be sharing five of the many benefits of developing a Yoga Nidra practice because I have some exciting announcements planned for February that I can't wait to share. Today, I will share one. And that is, that, you cannot practice Yoga Nidra incorrectly. You just follow my voice as I guide you. The leaves are falling, and I believe they are trying to tell us something, will we listen? How special that the first of the month has fallen on a Sunday, a day many of us take to reflect, to surrender, and to unwind. I walk outside and I see the leaves gently drifting in the air as they leave their trees behind. I see them swirl and land effortlessly on the ground. Like they were always meant to take that journey away from the safety of their tree, where they gre...w and flourished. I wonder if they are speaking to me, showing me the elegance and beauty of letting go...Of venturing away from all we’ve ever known. We head towards the uncharted as we enter a new month that has not seen the Pandemic before. New holidays are coming that have known nothing of social distancing. It is new and different, and so far away from all, we’ve ever known. I hope this message finds you well.
