Before Jumpstart, I failed my stats midterm leaving me with a 53% average. There was no way I was going to retake this course in the summer so I did what my frosh leader told me to do and signup for Jumpstart. I was able to grasp the concepts so well thanks to Jumpstart that I finished with an A.... They were able to teach concepts that would normally take 3 hours in class within 10 minutes in a very simple and easy to understand manner. I highly recommend Jumpstart!

Jumpstart was one of the best academic decisions I've made in my time at Schulich. Jethro and Jie are dedicated teachers who really want you to succeed and make you want to attend all the classes. They break down complex concepts into something easily understandable. The weekly classes are tight-knit and overall a really supportive community. I highly recommend Jumpstart for every first and second year student to not only pick up your grades, but make new friends along the way as well.

Prior to my first year at Schulich, I had never taken a business course and was understandably nervous. Signing up for weekly Jumpstart classes helped alleviate that stress because course concepts were clearly broken down and I was able to have all my questions answered. I would highly recommend this program to anyone looking to build a solid foundation for their business knowledge. The tools and experiences you will gain at Jumpstart are invaluable. Going into my first year at a school like Schulich at times had me feeling alone and overwhelmed. On the verge of failing Actg 2010 with no prior comprehension of accounting with a fast past education and rhythm, I felt like I was drowning. At first I was scared to ask for help and join Jumpstart because I never realized how many people were in the same boat as me. Joining Jumpstart was undoubtedly the best decision I ever made in first year. I not only picked up my grades, ...but I also gained the confidence I was lacking to continue my life at Schulich. Nevertheless, Jumpstart saved me, I met amazing people, made a whole new family and academically advanced in no time. I strongly recommend Jumpstart as it truly gives you the ropes to tackle some of the hardest years of the schulich experience. Jumpstart has been an invaluable resource for my first two years at Schulich. Jie and Jethro are fantastic teachers who break the concepts down so they are actually understandable. The weekly classes give you a leg up for all the quizzes, midterms, exams, and even class discussions. It also gives you the opportunity to meet so many people and get to know them outside of Schulich with the small class sizes at Jumpstart. I recommend Jumpstart to every first and second year to make sure you can finish with the marks you want!

Without a doubt, Jumpstart played a critical role in the first two years of my university experience. The teachers at Jumpstart not only prepared me for tests and exams, but also ensured that the learning process was engaging and catered to each student individually. The small class sizes allowed for every single question to be answered, and all concepts to be explained in detail. I can honestly say that throughout my two years of attending weekly classes, there wasn’t a single time that I was reluctant to go.
