Meet Bob... 12x16 inch acrylic. Bob passed away a few months ago. Apparently, he was quite the character, and he is greatly missed by his family. It was a ple...asure to work on this portrait after connecting with Barbara and her family on a number of levels - art, love of animals, and diabetes (Her son, Easton, like myself, has Type 1 Diabetes). Enjoy See more

Le Consulat, 24x30 acrylic. The initial dreaming and researching of a European hiking trip has led me back to one of my favourite stops in Paris, Montmarte. ...After painting Le Consulat many years ago, it was nice to revisit my old photos and memories this past week while working on this canvas. Enjoy... J’aime Paris! See more

Happy to share, just completed... Vincent’s Rendezvous with Agostina, acrylic, 24x30. Searching for inspiration a couple days ago, I was flipping through my... Van Gogh books and came across his portrait, Agostina Segatori Sitting in the Café du Tambourin - 1887 (seen here as well). With a certain amount of artistic license, this is my pre-portrait interpretation of Vincent enjoying a beer (too early for an absinthe) while waiting for Agostina. Agostina modelled for many artists and was the proprietress of the Café du Tambourin in Paris, a popular spot with artists and writers. It seems that Vincent van Gogh and Agostina Segatori were very fond of each other. She inspired the painter, who made two portraits of her and several nudes in oil. I was fortunate to see this original portrait at the Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam. See more
