This has been a really tough year for moms! So many of you have been talking about feeling overwhelmed, anxious, and totally burnt-out. And everyone keeps telling you about self-care, right? But you’re probably wondering how that’s actually possible, given all that’s on your plate! You know you need it but who has time?? So if you've been feeling overwhelmed and you’re not sure where to start, my friend Kate is offering a free workshop to help moms manage overwhelm and anx...iety. Kate’s a mental health therapist, she works entirely with moms and pregnant women and has some super practical, and realistic ideas for you to manage the anxiety and overwhelm you’re feeling these days even when kids are always around! Save your seat in the workshop here: https://kateborsato.lpages.co/mom-anxiety-workshop-ah/ See more

Carve out some time each day for you! In the beginning it may just be 30 mins but taking that time for yourself will make a huge difference.

We were kinda hoping that by the time October came around we wouldn't need this anymore. But, turns out....we were overly optimistic Grab a copy of your pandemic packing list from the link in our bio.... This list is not your average hospital packing list - this is the absolute essentials, what you are sure to use. The additions to the list are what makes it so unique. We have thought outside the box and added items that you wouldn’t normally need but at this moment will make you so happy you have.

Limit visitors. Take a few days to get adjusted to your new life without extra bodies in the mix.

Hi, Ashley here. Tomorrow is Love Your Body Day. This is a hard topic for many. I know I've struggled with self-esteem since my teens, and still continue to at times, especially as my body has changed dramatically throughout my pregnancies and postpartum.... I don't have any answers, other than to recognize those body negative thoughts when they arise and challenge them. And, follow some amazing body positive accounts! A few I can recommend are: @eatthecaketoo, mynameisjessamyn, scarrednotscared, and __olakemi__

Hi, Ashley here. Today is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness day. If you're reading this right now, you may very well be one of the 1 in 4 who has experienced pregnancy or infant loss.... As a full spectrum doula and former peer group facilitator for the PAIL Network I have heard so many stories of loss - including my own neonatal loss 5 years ago. In fact, it was 5 years ago that today really became recognized. Tonight I will be lighting a candle for my daughter, for my stillborn brother, for the lost babies of so many of my friends.

People you don’t even know will be giving you advice and telling you how to care for your children, although sometimes helpful, only you know what is best for your baby.

Having a new baby can cause unexpected hardships in a relationship with a partner. Especially if this is a first child; the world you once knew with just the two of you has been flipped upside down. Communication is key. Checking in with one another about your needs and listening to where your partner is at is crucial. Being honest and open is needed to navigate this new territory. Taking some time for just the two of you can be a huge help. Sitting down to eat together or going for a walk may seem unimportant but carving out that time can be just the space you need to open up and connect. Again, this phase will pass, newborns do not stay newborns forever. Comment with a if you're worried about this, or if you experienced a change in your relationship in the fourth trimester.

Postpartum tip: Set up a feeding station so that when you are feeding your baby you have healthy dry snacks, water, and reading materials handy.

Today marks the start of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month. To all the 1 in 4 who have experienced loss: we're with you. We ARE you. These are my footprints,... so perfect and so small. These tiny footprints never touched the ground at all. Not one tiny footprint, for now I have wings. These tiny footprints were meant for other things. You will hear my tiny footprints, in the patter of the rain. Gentle drops like angel's tears, of joy and not from pain. You will see my tiny footprints, in each butterfly's lazy dance. I'll let you know I'm with you, if you just give me the chance. You will see my tiny footprints, in the rustle of the leaves. I will whisper names into the wind, and call each one that grieves. Most of all, these tiny footprints, are found on Mommy and Daddy's hearts, 'cause even though I'm gone now, we'll never truly part. See more

Postpartum tip: Make a postpartum help list so when someone asks what you need you can actually give them something to do!
