Winter is here in Alberta. Cook in a cast iron frying pan as opposed to grilling. Grass fed/finished Lean beef has little fat to keep burger moist and that minimal fat drips out of the meat when grilling. DO NOT FEED YOUR PETS COOKED BONES I would like to share some knowledge with all of you; if you are not aware of this. Cooked bones splinter. 1) Mouth problems... Broken teeth; tongue cuts; lower jaw injuries; gum injuries 2) Cooked bones get stuck in esophagus or windpipe 3) Cooked bones get stuck in stomach or intestines and cause blockage There are many more reasons; I encourage you to educate yourself on this subject. Raw bones are fabulous for dogs.

We had a great visit yesterday with the owners of Thistle Hill Farms. They are absolutely amazing. I made a salad today & their products are so flavorful. I've registered for their online website for future orders. I am so excited to find a locally grown veggie supplier (micro greens) that we have met & they offer a lot of other products that we are excited to try. I encourage you to do the same.
