Our group left the resort this morning for the airport without any written (but verbal) confirmation of their negative PCR test results. (We were notified yesterday that the labs were backed up and they were unsure if we'd get the results on time. Just in case, we prepared ourselves and outlined Plan B, C and D to our clients.) The nurses at the Royalton Saint Lucia have gone above and beyond to make sure one group contact would receive their results as soon as possible. Two results were missing, then just one. 50 mins prior to boarding, the final result was received!!! Kudos to of those involved who helped make this happen; including Air Canada Vacations.

As if they hadn't gone through enough turmoil, our lovely couple's honeymoon now hangs in the air. They were just informed by the on-site ACV rep that their return flight on the 23rd has been cancelled (neither we or they have received any communication about it, but we did jump on the phone and had it confirmed) and their only available option to return via Air Canada is to return with the remainder of the group this Saturday. Luckily, the remainder of the group was in the m...idst of getting their PCR covid tests and the Dr was still on-site so they managed to get their tests done just in case. In the meantime, we compiled a list of their options for return flights with different airlines (min. 2 stops through the USA) and confirmed all the options available for their honeymoon stay (continue as planned and return the 23rd, cancel and get zero refund/credit, or reschedule but pay the difference in costs for the new dates...possibly for an anniversary trip)? We're ready for them as soon as they decide how they would like to proceed. See more
