Personally I think we have lots of room for improvement, but I'm happy to see Canada ranked #1 :)

Last month was a continuation of what's been happening as of late. The number of new listings was up year over year, but sales were also up. This resulted in a decline of Active listings year over year, as well as the "months of supply" (If we were to assume that no new listings went on the market and that homes continued to sell at the same rate until they were all Sold, it would currently take approx 3 months for all the listings to sell). This all means that we are touching on a Seller's market; however, it really depends on the market segment as well as neighbourhood area.

Today (November 17th) is "Smith Magenis Syndrome (or "SMS") Awareness Day". My son, Sascha has SMS and it is a rare neurobehavioral disorder characterized by a recognizable pattern of physical, behavioral, and developmental features. It is caused by particular genetic changes on chromosomal region 17p11.2, which contains the gene RAI1. (Which is why we recognize SMS Awareness Day on November 17th... 17th day of 11th month... chromosomal region 17p11.2... clever, huh?) SMS ...affects Sascha is many ways... Speech Difficulties, Behavioural Challenges, Impulsivity, Sleep Disorder, Toileting Problems, Hyperactivity, Self Injurious Behaviours...... PLUS, Endearing Personality, Great Sense of Humour, Excellent Long Term Memory and Amazing Hugs. This kid drives me absolutely crazy and causes me no end of stress and frustration, but I do love him dearly.

What would you say is the funniest town name in Saskatchewan? My votes are for Zealandia, or Success.
