September is Life Insurance Awareness Month so I thought I’d make a few comments. This is a great short video that talks about why somebody might consider permanent life insurance. To summarize, the key is to have options. Some options we don’t even know that we want to have until later in life. So in selecting the type of life insurance that is right for us, it’s important to be aware of pros and cons of permanent and temporary policies. Remember that every life insurance ag...ent takes the same course and is tested on the same material when getting licensed. Part of that material has to do with choosing the best life insurance product for a given scenario. You have to wonder why a person would answer a question one way on an exam only to change their answer in front of a real client due to their company’s limited product offerings or beliefs. A good agent will educate you on the various options, assess your needs, evaluate your budget and work with you to decide on whether temporary, permanent, or my favourite, a hybrid solution is best for you.

We can analyze this all we want but the actual problem is that ...most people don’t have enough money to maximize both options. Instead of having to decide, why don’t we find a way to make more?

Good read for anyone who has an RRSP/RRIF. Ask me about how to guarantee your RRIF payments for life.

Food for thought. Good parent = good leader and vice versa? What do you all think?
