Hi guys! I've recently completed my Ashiatsu course. Ashiatsu, also known as barefoot massage is a form of deep tissue therapy. The therapist uses an overhead bar and high stool system to apply various levels of pressure to the body and deliver an inclusive treatment. Barefoot massage is often less pokey, and more comfortable for both the patient and therapist. The foot is a much bigger surface, and it is a lot easier to apply pressure. Specific work can also be done! Best of all, it is now recognized as a massage modality, and covered by insurance!
