This is my new painting. My inspiration comes from an image that Ben Shantz from Uniquities here in Calgary took with his camera of one of the many beautiful statuary pieces they sell. Apollo is a god in Greek mythology, and one of the Twelve Olympians. He is the son of Zeus and Leto and the twin brother of Artemis. He is the god of healing, medicine, archery, music, poetry and the sun. He is the leader of the Muses. He also is a god of prophecy, and his Oracle at Delphi is very important.

As most of you know I save fabric samples from dumpsters. Occasionally a vintage fabric remnant finds its way into my heart and makes it flutter. This one is hand printed, such a gorgeous colour combination. Got to make myself something every once and a while!

Some friends joined us on a picnic up at Heart Creek recently. First time for them, this was our resting spot, they loved it! Super beautiful in the snow also, add it to your list of places to visit
