Kevin and I try and pick a different local establishment for lunch every time. It was The Cup Cafe & Bakery this time. The picture I captured here was the BLT and Dill Mushroom Soup. How was it? Unreal! Absolutely Unreal!... This establishment was started 4.5 years ago by a couple of wonderful ladies. They have homemade everything. Today is National Puppy Day! Barley started her career off as a ranch hand, and herding thousands of sheep at her feedlot in Alberta. Her body eventually started to feel the long days in the mud and muck, constantly being pushed around by big ewes and rams.... Barley decided to switch careers and move to Battleford Saskatchewan. Barley spends most of her days in the office greeting customers, and is always riding shotgun when delivering material out to the job sites. Even though she doesn’t move as quick. Barley still lives up to her last name ALBERS with her favorite activity still playing ball. #nationalpuppyday

Big Shout out to Bonnie & Clyde's for their generous fundraiser. They are donating 100% of the money today from the sales of their Fried Bread to the Lighthouse. There was a line up outside their home today! What an amazing community we have. We picked up a few bags for some of our lucky customer's and of course our hard working staff! Hopefully I don't eat them all before they are delivered.
