Update: Well, we only found 1 of 5 hides. We did this challenge to get more experience and I really wanted to see how he would do. He is so good at finding scent, I totally thought he would find them all!!! As you know, LOKI isn’t a normal dog with normal triggers. He was super escalated on the drive in and I knew that he had to but he wouldn’t go, and of course cold or wet paws are major triggers for him.... He attacked his leash a few times before we got into the buildin...g and again on the way out. It was a huge blessing that he was able to search off-leash, so at least he did search and was trying. I know what I need to do prior to the next event and definitely need some more practice at various locations!! ***If you have a location and are willing to hide scent for us, please let me know Today is the day! This will be LOKI's first event - hopefully it isn't too overstimulating for him. If we don't try, we will never know! Good luck to everyone participating and safe travels to anyone coming in from out of town!

NEO’s second in-home training session. We focused on ‘mat’ and ‘place’ (sit-stays and down-stays) along with reinforcing a proper sit and fold-stand. Because of his surgeries and lack of mobility while he was healing, we have some work to do! Team BENTLEY graduated to the full range on the teeter with perfect form! We care more about safety and practicing good form on the equipment before ever going for speed. Did you know that many agility clubs don’t even use the teeter anymore due to how dangerous it can be?!?! #safetyfirst
