It has been a week since the loss of our Kabuki House. We wish to thank everyone who has posted such kind and thoughtful wishes. We are grateful for all the client support over the years. We were able to build our dream here, raise a family in a wonderful community, living in Blue Sky country, close to woodlands of birch and pine, call of the loon, traces of Canada geese moving across the sky and the most amazing sunsets ever! Thank you North Bay! Thank you to all our dedicated staff over the years, we could not have done this without you. Its been a wonderful journey! With gratitude. Marika and Masa.

Nearly 30 years ago, we dared to open a Japanese restaurant in Northern Ontario and make North Bay our home. Over the years we have had the privilege and honour to serve this beautiful community and join you through the various celebrations of life. We are forever grateful for the "Kabuki family" that has developed from our staff, loyal customers, and many treasured friendships. On behalf of everyone at the Kabuki House, we want to extend our sincere appreciation for the out...pouring love and support. The building is gone but the Kabuki family is well and strong! Despite the winter storm our second Omakase night was another success! Here is a sample of some of the delicious courses that were served. Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy this unique dining experience!

We still have a few availabilities for our second omakase night tomorrow evening. Eight course dinner complete with tastings of wine and spirits. $75.00 per person and the last Wednesday of every month.

Omakase - (omakase) (in a Japanese restaurant) a meal consisting of dishes selected by the chef. A Japanese phrase that means "Ill leave it up to you" (from Japanese "to entrust") Please join us for our first monthly Omakase Night on January 27. This will be an interactive evening of creative and elegant dishes! All eight courses will be paired with either a Japanese wine, beer, or spirit specifically chosen to enhance the flavour and experience of each particular dis...h. Tickets are $75.00 a person and limited seats are available. Doors open at 6:00pm and the first course will be served at 6:30pm sharp. Call 705-495-0999 to reserve your spot!
