"Lighting Up the Veil" Are you tired of photos of Bridal Veil Falls yet? I've been wanting to light up the falls for years. This past weekend was a "now or neve...r" moment. I knew that warm weather was heading our way meaning my window of opportunity for this year was narrowing quickly. So, after all the daytime visitors had long gone I crept down to the falls and placed two LED panels behind the ice wall. I used a flashlight app on my phone to illuminate the foreground. "Solar Spectacle" Although a large part of the Island was covered in cloud today, I checked out the satellite image this afternoon and saw some clear sky toward... the southwest. That meant that there would be a thin window for the sunshine to burst through just before setting. This scene only lasted a few minutes, but a spectacular few minutes it was! See more

Finally got a break in the cold temp. To get in some ice fishing this morning. We caught these awesome Lakers! It's a great way to pass the winter months!

This two bedroom cottage is literally alongside the Lake! It boasts privacy with mature trees and a nice buffer zone from the next cottage. One bedroom has a queen bed, second bedroom has a double and single bunk bed combo. Sleeps 5 comfortably. The bathroom has a spacious 5 ft shower with built in seat. Finished in a beautiful pine interior, it also has a woodstove for heat, electric appliances, microwave, satelite tv, a small deck and its own dock. Wifi access is a few steps away, at the main dock. 2020 Summer rate is $980/wk, plus HST. $190/night, plus HST. Off-season Rate is $800/wk, plus HST (no boat) or $850/wk, pls HST (includes boat, gas extra). $150/night,plus HST.(weekday, 3 night min.) $190/night, plus HST (weekend). Prices subject to change.
