Hope this catches on elsewhere in the country! Legalization did not help the fight for medical cannabis access. In ways, it made it even harder. Places like the Victoria Compassion Club provide a HUGE service to communities. Bless these guys for keeping up the fight

Any one who ever smoked pot before legalization knows this to be oh so true...

British Columbia has set up the private cannabis sector to FAIL. They have become the King Pin dealer. Private retailers are forced to purchase through provincial distribution, who mark up the product and withhold information. They then install their own "BC Cannabis Stores" where they charge next to wholesale cost (why not when your the dealer anyway) and allow for online sales, again, strictly through their own distribution. Private stores are also legally bound to their pr...ices. So when a product is old or does not meet desired standards, we are forced to sell it at full cost. Meanwhile, the provincial stores and online store have the ability to charge lower prices. They are using the private sector to gain revenue knowing that most of these businesses will not be able to compete and eventually close down, leaving behind their tax funded establishments. I'm disgusted and embarrassed by how this province has regulated cannabis sales. See more
