We understand how difficult the holiday season can be and for this reason, we are rescheduling our Death Cafe for a special online session, December 8, from 7-8:30pm, to honour our departed. All you need is a pen and paper and an open heart! Facilitators Rayya Liebich and Lindsay Ann Wheatley will create a safe space where loss can be witnessed and remembering those we've lost through writing will be a gentle, guided process. This event is free of cost and available to anyone who can join the zoom call (please feel free to send the link to family beyond Nelson).

We regret to announce that due to the recent release of tighter Covid-19 restrictions on social gatherings, the Kalein Centre has decided to postpone this year's planned event for The Festival of Light. Yesterday, the BC Government announced that ALL indoor and outdoor community & social events are suspended for the next 2 weeks, with possible, and likely extensions beyond that. We are saddened by this news, as plans were well underway to create a safe and sacred space to s...hare with you this year. However, we are committed to providing you with a safe event and space that will bring our community together. We are anticipating that restrictions will ease up in the new year, and are projecting for the new, penciled in, date to be Family Day, on February 15th, 2021. We hope you can join us then! REGARDING TICKETS: Tickets already purchased will be automatically transferred to the new date. Refunds will be given if requested.
