2020 has been depressing, difficult and the deadliest year of this decade for all of us and especially the most vulnerable. COVID 19 brought more suffering to those who are poor, sick, disadvantaged and the elderly. And yet, our only choice is to support each other; stay strong, learn from this hardship and become more resilient as we enter the new year. As this year is fast approaching to a close, I thought I would share my top 10 (not in any order) of the year 2020 to en...courage and inspire us to always try be optimistic: 1. Be Kind to yourself and others around you, spread love. 2. Donate (give when/if you can in kind or cash to your choice of charity). 3. Cook or learn to cook. 4. Listen to podcasts, atleast an hour a day (my top three picks: A Good Refugee, goodrefugee.substack.com - the picture; This Week In Virology, www.microbe.tv and Democracy Now. 5. Meditate/Exercise your mind and body. 6. Take a walk once a day to breathe fresh air or see the sky, trees, greet squirrels or birds - keep physical distance, wear masks 7. Do video/phone chat regularly with your family, use WhatsApp etc., 8. De-stress! Binge on Netflix etc., if you must. Laugh a lot too it is good for your . Lately I got hooked on Korean Shows for the first time in my life so you never know what you may like... 9. Catch up on your hobbies. 10. Shop/buy Local. Walk in your neighborhoods to discover, get to know the local businesses and support them. Thank you if you read the full post. Wishing you and yours a healthy safe happy year 2021 ahead! See more
Wishing everyone a safe and happy holidays! Be kind and generous to yourself and others.

I had a great time yesterday hanging out with @rusulalrubail and her lovely girls. We talked about the elections and picked up pumpkins at the Sorauren Park. Last September I was canvassing for @arifvirani and ended up at Rusul's door. We realized we haven't had time to meet up since the municipal elections from last year! Heading out for last day of canvassing today and hoping for the best. I #chooseforward and hope you do too! #friends #family #elxn43 @ Sauroren Park

Happy Lhakar! "White Wednesday": a weekly celebration of Tibetan identity by Tibetans around the world. I was fortunate enough to travel to Utah last week and explore the mountains, canyons and rivers in the southern region of Moab there. The air, landscape and colours reminded me of Tibet in so many ways. During my time in Utah, I also had a chance to learn about the stories of the Indigenous nations there, specifically the Utes and Navajo. It is a story of coloniza...tion and displacement, but also of resilience, generosity, defiance and promise. I hope Tibet will one day as a free nation build alliances with the many First Nations here on Turtle Island and beyond. Our stories are unique and different in many important ways, but we also share similarities in our traditions and values. In our relationship with the elements and beings around us, and our foundational belief in the interdependence of everything on which our lives rest. #Lhakar #Utah #Moab #Tibet #Tibetan #refugee #Indigenous #Canadian : @golokgelek
