A teaching from Bufo: WATER IS AMAZING!!! I’m consistently brought to this place of deep epiphany about how incredible water is, and I find myself shouting... this and laughing out loud hysterically in my bufo sessions. Water is Amazing!!! It’s so obvious! And in that moment everything makes sense. The solutions to all my problems live in water, obviously. And when I return, as my ego integrates, my mind begins to wonder, So, what was so specifically obvious and amazing about water again? Bufo spaces are beyond the minds comprehension. You will never be able to express in words the totality of your experience. It’s a unique vibration. Art is an incredible way to integrate psychedelic experiences like #bufo or #5meodmt. This was the piece I just created to help me integrate my latest sessions. We can use the non verbal artistic part of our (left)brain to help us understand more clearly. By shaking, we literally shake off the old energy, stress, and tension as a way of resettling the nervous system to come back to our natural state of relaxation. All mammals do this. After a gazelle successfully escapes from a cheetah attack, she'll shake of the adrenaline to come back to her relaxed state and go on living her life peacefully grazing grass on the savanna rather than living in anxiety about the next attack. In the forest, a deer is startled and perks up to wat...ch for predators, when she realizes the coast is clear, she gently twitches and shakes to release the "fight or flight" chemicals that were just trigger to prepare her to run for her life. If animals do not discharge their "fight or flight" they die. They cannot live in a constant state of "on guard". We, silly humans have forgotten how to shake it off. We live in a state of chronic fight or flight, unconsciously preparing to fight for our lives by an unseen predator. We humans, on the other hand, don't die... However, this surge of energy gets stored in our nervous system and the stress gets stuck in our body. We have adapted to live in fight or flight, but it's an uncomfortable life filled with chronic pain, insomnia, anxiety, depression, addiction, and many other mental health challenges. Shaking is the easiest way to get rid of stress, and you feel really amazing after!! During a shaking practice you pop into a trance-like state of spontaneous movement where you are no longer shaking your body, but your BODY moves YOU. Energy channels open up, kundalini energy begins to flow, and your body starts healing itself. It's a long lost secret to well-being, the Kalahari Bushamn in Namibia, Africa have been practicing this shaking medicine for hundreds of years. Finally meeting the Kambo frog! Living with the Yawanawa, I got to experience how they work with the frog. We easily found the frogs the night before, harvested the medicine with gentleness and care, and in the morning applied it fresh by the river side. This is me after my session, which was quite gentle actually. The hardest part was the relentless sand flies constantly feasting on my skin!... What a special experience!! Thank you Yawanawa!!
