We are so excited to share that KSACC has been awarded funding to provide emergency sexual assault services in our community! With funding made available by the Ending Violence Association of British Columbia, KSACC will soon be providing 24/7 emergency sexual assault support, on the phone, in our office, and in the community. This means that survivors will get the help they need, right away. Check out EVA's press release below, for details on the funding, and the list of organizations from across the province that will be receiving it. We are so grateful to this community, our partners, the Ending Violence Association of British Columbia, and to the Government of British Columbia for supporting us in offering this critical service to survivors of violence. Thank you, and stay tuned for more information as this program launches!

We are extremely grateful to Monique and the Kamloops Shoebox Project. This amazing project provides a wonderful giftbox of essentials and treats to many of our clients who would otherwise have nothing for Christmas. The Kamloops Sexual Assault Counselling Centre board and staff want to share our sadness over the passing of former Agency Coordinator, Cynthia Davis. Leading our agency for nearly 20 years, Cynthia left a profound mark here, and in the wider community. We honour her remarkable life and the work she did to empower and support survivors of violence. Her legacy will echo throughout our community for many years to come. Our thoughts are with her loved ones, and all those that cared for her, as they grieve the loss of this incredible woman, friend, and advocate.

"We have an election coming up. Talk to your local candidates about how this is affecting women who are experiencing violence and what are some of their ideas around this and how do they see solutions for that as well? - Michelle Walker, general manager for Violence Against Women Intervention and Support Services.
