COVID-19 UPDATE This situation is evolving constantly and with each passing hour, greater measures are being taken to prevent the spread of the virus. Our previous update mentioned that nothing had changed for our organization's programming this spring and that we would only continue if it is safe and responsible to do so. The past two days have seen a variety of measures taken to aid the public in social distancing as our governments and medical officials guide us through... this pandemic. As a result, the City of Kamloops has closed its arenas and pools indefinitely. The Canadian Ball Hockey Association has suspended all sanctioned ball hockey events and programming until April 17th, at minimum. We fully support these decisions and will be suspending all of our programmings until experts deem it safe to return. Sport and recreation are a reprieve for its participants and play a key role in both mental and physical health. It is with great sorrow that we are suspending our activities. As an organization, we are committed to keeping our community and neighbours safe. We must all do our part to minimize the damage and duration of this virus, ultimately allowing us to continue with our lives. We will keep you updated as often as necessary. Should a shortened season be possible, or if the season should be cancelled, we will reimburse all registrants appropriately. We encourage you to take advantage of the fresh air and sunshine by practicing in your driveways and finding other appropriate ways to stay active.
