Burpees go down by number on each round! Time this one.

Kamloops Classic Swimming 19.06.2020

Hops over a small object will work if you don't have a rope!

Kamloops Classic Swimming 18.05.2020

Even if you don't have a weight at home, something like a water bottle will do the trick!

Kamloops Classic Swimming 23.04.2020

Options on this one!

Kamloops Classic Swimming 18.03.2020

A little Canadian Swimming history trivia in our Zoom Class yesterday!! Question in this photo was what year was the last time a Canadian Male won a gold medal in swimming at the Olympics! ... (Sadly all the the swimmers aged 13-16 guessed incorrectly!)

Kamloops Classic Swimming 14.03.2020

Sort of like the beep test! Any KCS swimmers that do this, email coach Kent and let him know how far you got!

Kamloops Classic Swimming 05.03.2020

Another home Ab Move! Bonus points if you can do the standing version and keep your arms straight on the way back in!

Kamloops Classic Swimming 14.02.2020

Same deal as the other day - a bike can work too!

Kamloops Classic Swimming 01.02.2020

Good core/stability work in this one! The get-ups are great - we'll have a video in the feed somewhere

Kamloops Classic Swimming 18.01.2020

Another option is the same slow/fast pacing with a bike!

Kamloops Classic Swimming 10.01.2020

Another core move.. been doing these fairly often in online workouts lately! Any object will do....weights, water bottle etc. Swimmer Tip, minimize the "sway" in your feet/legs. Random Tabata style works great... That means 8 rounds of an Interval (20sec Work/10sec Rest)

Kamloops Classic Swimming 27.12.2019

Use a skipping rope if you have one. If not, lateral hops over any object or line on the ground work just fine! Good squats - keep your back flat as you descend down!

Kamloops Classic Swimming 10.12.2019

Another core move for your Sunday ... Swimmer challenge, do 1000 of these today and time yourself.

Kamloops Classic Swimming 24.11.2019

Get some sunshine on this one! Use an app to measure out your distance.

Kamloops Classic Swimming 22.11.2019

Another day, another ab move! In and Outs... Make these harder with a slow tempo OR wear some ankle weights.

Kamloops Classic Swimming 02.11.2019

6 Rounds - no extra resting on this one. Set a time to do it... better yet set up a FaceTime or Zoom Call with a friend and do it together!

Kamloops Classic Swimming 16.10.2019

Little bonus core workout/challenge to add to whatever you're doing today! Keep your back pinned against the floor! Swimmers gotta be in tune with their hip/torso position!

Kamloops Classic Swimming 09.10.2019

These types of running workouts will be more pleasant when the weather warms up!

Kamloops Classic Swimming 05.10.2019

A little core/6-Pack training to try today! ... Swimmer specific part, don't let your legs sway/fishtail in the Russian Twists! ... The finisher in TCSC's VirtualWOD today. 8 Rounds of 20sec Work/10sec Rest... Alternate between Hollow Hold Scissor Kicks and Russian Twists (shown here!) ... Sorry/not sorry if the chiseled lines in your stomach slice up the inside of your shirt tomorrow!

Kamloops Classic Swimming 15.09.2019

We're going to be posting some workouts for swimmers (of any group!) to do on your own. Check out Coach Brad's email from Sunday for other ideas! Keep moving as much as you can!
