Today members of the Kamloops community along with The Kamloops Pride Board were on hand for the raising of the flag in honor of International Transgender Day O...f Visibility, which takes place on March 31st. This is a time to celebrate transgender people around the globe and in our community and the courage it takes to live openly and authentically, while also raising awareness around the discrimination trans people still face.

Ahead of Trans Day of Visibility on March 31st, we will be raising the Trans flag on Monday, March 25th at noon on the community flagpole in front of City Hall.... We hope to honour, acknowledge and celebrate trans people all over the world, all while raising awareness of the discrimination and marginalization trans people still face. See more

Kamloops Pride is excited to launch our 2019 Community Assessment Survey to better understand the unique needs and perspectives of LGBTQ2S+ folks in the area. ...We encourage you to read more about the survey below, then take it here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PrideCommunityAssessment This survey was developed in partnership with third-year nursing students from TRU as part of a practicum project with Kamloops Pride. We thank them for their incredible work in developing this assessment! The survey closes Friday, March 15th. INFORMATION The survey will take approximately 5-10 minutes of your time. The data obtained through the survey will provide important information about: - Your experiences with Kamloops Pride - Activities, events, or sessions you would like Kamloops Pride to host CONFIDENTIALITY You will not be asked to attach your name to your survey responses. Individual responses will be used to provide feedback to the Board of Directors at Kamloops Pride and will be strictly confidential. Any information from the survey that is published in a newsletter or annual report will not include verbatim comments. POTENTIAL BENEFITS You have the opportunity to reflect on your experiences with Kamloops Pride which may enhance self-understanding. You will also be helping to improve the work of Kamloops Pride. POTENTIAL RISKS There may be survey items that you are uncomfortable answering or to which you would prefer not to respond.
