Alhumdolillah, after 6 months, Ayesha Masjid in Kamloops offers Salatul Jum'ah in the blessed month of Ramadan. JazakAllah Khairun all attendees for your full cooperation and for keeping our community safe by following the strict protocols and procedures established by the Masjid. May Allah (SWT) accept your patience and bestow his immense Rahmah during this month and beyond - Ameen.

Insha'Allah we will be starting outdoor Salatul Jum'ah at the Masjid starting tomorrow, April 16, 2021. Khutbah will start at 1:15 pm. If you wish to attend, please read the attached protocols and note the following key measures: 1. Pre-registration is required by law - (No exceptions). The registration link is now live at the Masjid Website.... 2. There will be no onsite registration available. Must pre-register by 10:00 AM every Friday. 3. Must bring your own prayer mat and perform Wudu (ablution) at home. 4. Outdoor Salah only and in the event of rain or adverse weather conditions, there will be no Jum'ah Salah. 5. The Salah will be offered on a first-come-first-serve basis with a maximum of 50 attendees and no regular schedule for a second Salah. 6. Members over the age of 70, children under 13, and Sisters are encouraged to pray at home. 7. Must provide your full and correct information at the time of online registration. 8. Must answer all health screening questions upon arrival at the Masjid. 9. No gathering or socializing anywhere on Masjid premises will be permitted. 10. Do not bring any personal belongings such as backpacks, food, etc., except your own prayer mat, to the Masjid. *COVID-19 JUMAA PRAYER UPDATE* Assalamu alaykum, Based on recent exponential growth in the number of positive cases in BC and revised restrictions issued by the Provincial Health Officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry, we wish to advise that there will be no Salatul Jum'ah this week. You may wish to hold the Jum'ah at home within your family, if possible.... May Allah (SWT) accept and reward you for your intentions and efforts - Ameen. You may also hear about other Masajid in the Lower Mainland holding outdoor Salah starting this Friday. This may be possible for other Masajid due to different weather and resource conditions in the Lower Mainland. We may have a similar option available for our community in the future as weather and wind conditions become favourable for an outdoor Salah. Insha'Allah, we will continue to make efforts and provide you an update when there is a change in our position.

We are excited to announce that Eat Clean Express & Meal Prep has started using halal ground beef in an effort to accommodate the Muslim community. The halal ground beef is acquired from Costco and is certified by the Halal Transactions of Omaha. The restaurant management has consulted us regarding the proper handling of halal meat and assured us that measures will be taken to avoid cross contamination. You are also welcome to communicate specific requests to staff when placing your order to help ensure this. Be sure to give them a try! Note that you may add ground beef to certain menu items or possibly substitute it in place of other proteins.

Furthermore, we condemn the recent Islamophobic statements made by French President, Emmanuel Macron. The reasoning behind the French government’s support for offensive cartoons depicting our beloved Prophet Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him) is flawed and represents a double standard in the implementation of free speech. All prophets of God are deeply honoured in Is...lam and any insult, mockery or derogatory remarks directed towards any prophet of God is unacceptable. We call upon Canadian leaders, in particular, the Prime Minister of Canada, to condemn the Islamophobic comments made by the French President and any hate speech made under the guise of freedom of speech. We also call upon the Muslim community to establish bonds with your neighbours and peers, and help educate the public about our faith. Additionally, please express your disappointment of the French government to your local elected officials.
