A great festival, online this year!
Cool new initiative for authors
Writers of Kamloops, can you confirm?
Great publicity from Tamara! We're hoping for a record crowd for our hometown author!
A community of writers for all ages and stages... We here at the Kamloops Society for the Written Arts have been thinking deeply about what we do as an organization. And to ensure that what we do has meaning and relevance, we want to hear from the writers in Kamloops and region. How can you join our conversation? So glad you asked. ... 1. Take our KSWA 2021 Writers Survey here: https://forms.gle/dd2m8dBnYfQquZya6 2. Join our Community Roundtable on January 27 at 7:00pm. Info and registration here: http://www.kswa.ca/community-roundtable.html The KSWA 2021 Writers Survey will give us an idea of what the writers in Kamloops and region want and need. At the Community Roundtable, we invite you to discuss the results of that survey and explore in greater depth the burning question around which most of our meetings eventually dance: What does it mean to foster a community of writers with geographical ties in the digital age? I mean, if you can go online and listen to author talks in Toronto and Berlin, if you can have a great time at the Victoria Festival of Authors from the comfort of your basement, if you can participate in workshops held in Iowa without walking out your front door, then what do you need your writerly neighbours for? We encourage you to help us explore answers to that question. And don't forget to check out our website at: www.kswa.ca . Hope to see you at the Community Roundtable, and don't forget to do the survey!
