Talking Tip: if your child mispronounces a word or uses incorrect grammar, there's not need to correct him! Repeat what she's said, fixing the mistake, and carry on with the interaction :) Here's an example: Child: I goed to the park! Adult: Oh, you went to the park! Fun!

Another Talking Tip on this beautiful holiday Monday! Ask your children open-ended questions --> ones that call for more than just a "yes" or "no." For example, ask "Tell me one thing that happened at school today," instead of "Did you have a good day at school?"

Talking Tip: face to face interactions, like those around the dinner table or at the playground, are the easiest and best way to support your child’s language learning! Limit screen time as excessive exposure to screens in young children has been linked to language delays.
