What a great time to be studying Civics. Global to local there is so much to learn about our levels of government and how to become an engaged citizen. Here is a picture of our virtual whiteboard aka Jam Board where students posted sticky notes to help determine some of the topics, ideas and knowledge that they want to cover in this course. Civics is the second half of the Careers and Civics course.

What an amazing Day 2 of the Kanata Montessori Model United Nations conference! This morning, the DISEC and ECOSOC committees met to perform speeches and discuss resolutions for each issue. Meanwhile, Senior Elementary students enjoyed the Country Board Expo. We are back in the classroom, however safety first! Dr. Suzanne Rutherford is ensuring all students understand the importance of following public health guidelines. A great talk as Dr. Rutherford is on Ottawa's COVID task force and she was very insightful and forthright. It takes a community’s collective and individual responsibility to the Public Health guidelines to keep everyone safe.
