Hungarian Days - Time to Get Your Food Orders In! Deadline is July 31 @ 6PM. Based on the interest expressed (thank you for making us feel loved) we will be continuing with our Hungarian days to bring you delicious cuisine you would typically experience during Folklorama! The menu items are an abreviated repertoire of the one's you would typically see at the pavilion and can be ordered a la carte like you have come to expect during the Festival. Langos = $5.00... World famous Hungarian deep fried bread dough will save your summer! Serve with a sweet or salty topping such as garlic salt, or icing sugar. Sausage = $4.00 Our homemade sausage is prepared with pork, spices and alot of love. These sausages are filler free making them gluten free. They are great served on their own but also taste great wrapped in a warm piece of langos as well. Cabbage rolls = $5.00 Our award-winning cabbage rolls are a hearty generous portion stuffed with rice, ground pork, seasonings and simmered in a tomato based sauce. Gulyas = $6.00 Gulyas is a hearty soup cooked long and slow to create a full flavoured broth with paprika, beef and beautiful vegetables. Gulyas pairs very nicely with langos which is great for dipping as well. Chicken Paprikas = $10.00 Chicken paprikas is among one of our favourite dishes. The chicken is cooked in a creamy paprika sauce, served overtop hand made egg dumplings called nokedli. Kremes = $5.00 Delicious Hungarian dessert! Custard bestled between a beautiful puff pastry base and top crust. We currently have pick up scheduled for Thursday August 13 however we will have a better idea of exact times once we know our order count. We appreciate your patience as we navigate through this first time event. Please be sure to provide us with your email and cell # so that we can contact you. Thank you! We will notify you with confirmed times the 1st week in August. If you have questions please let us know! To order please click the following link: https://hungariandays.square.site/ On behalf the Kapisztran Board, we thank you in advance for your support.

Welcome to our Hungarian Days! In lieu of Folklorama the Kapisztran Folk Ensemble wants to keep Hungarian traditions alive and let everyone have a great Hungarian meal. Our amazing volunteers will be preparing delicious dishes available for pick up to take home and share with your family during the week Folklorama was supposed to take place. The food will be done by pre-order and pick up will be at the Saint Anthony Church (371 Burnell Street). Food will be available August 11, 12 and 13. Our menu consists of gulyás, lángos, kólbász (sausage), cabbage rolls, paprika chicken and krémés.
