Our governing body, Ontario Soccer, has launched a survey in order to assist the provincial government in managing how amateur sport navigates the current pandemic. Although no firm dates have been announced, this is an opportunity to be heard with respect to what a return to play in Ontario might look like. The survey is not restricted to administrators. It can be completed by coaches, match officials, parents, etc. The deadline to complete the survey is May 11. A brief update from the Kapuskasing Minor Soccer Association: Spring is upon us and in normal times, preparation for the 2020 soccer season would be well underway. For reasons that are obvious, Ontario Soccer has announced the cancellation of all sanctioned soccer activities through the end of April at least. You can find the full announcement below: https://www.ontariosoccer.net/news_article/show/1097933 Our AGM, which had been scheduled for March 30th, will be held as so...on as the circumstances permit. It is impossible to say at this point when the season might start. Rest assured that when the time comes, we will look at all possible options so that the kids can have a great season in a safe environment. We will provide further information as it becomes available from Ontario Soccer. In the meantime, we hope everyone stays safe in these challenging times.
