Volunteers needed..! The KRWT is looking for volunteers to join our group and help with organizing a high caliber event for anglers to enjoy! Without great volunteers over the past 20 years, this would not have been possible! In an effort to maintain a high caliber event for our anglers and due to the ever changing COVID 19 crisis, the 2020 KRWT event scheduled for this coming August is cancelled. Our board of directors feels that the safety and well being of all our anglers, committee members, volunteers and communities is of the utmost importance in these uncertain times. Moving forward, We will carryover the current 2020 field to the 2021 season. We will be granting 100% refunds to those teams... who choose to do so. It is understood, that teams that do not contact us intend to participate in the 2021 season and will stay on the list. We will keep you updated of any changes that arise throughout the coming months. Stay safe and stay healthy Best regards to all KRWT board of directors

Thanks to donations, volunteers and hard work, the Fred Flat Bridge parking lot extension is at 90% completion. The Parking will be given the winter to settle before it gets the final touch next year. The parking will provide extra space for fishermen and outdoorsmen to park safely, avoiding leaving there vehicle on the travelling portion of Fred Flat Road. This project would not have been possible without the generosity of First Nation Timber who supplied manpower and equipm...ent during the project. Lebrun Contracting also stepped up donating granular material. Ryam Forest Management helped out by donating culverts. Thanks to Gates and Sons, Nadeau Haulage and TSM who have all chipped in by supplying dump trucks to haul the material from the pit to the Parking. Also a big thank you to Bob Ballantyne and Marcel Grezla for volunteering as operators. Lastly, thank you to Guy Paradis for setting everything up and taking time to make this project happen, if it wasn’t for Guy, it would not have been possible. I wanna thank all anglers who participated in our tournament! What a great turnout! With the help of Lebrun Contracting, Lachance Construction and a couple of our volunteers, our ramps are now looking very good. Lachance donated the material and Lebrun supplied equipment. These upgrades should speed up putting boats in and out the water during the tournament and also benefits any outdoorsmen using the Fred Flatt river access. Thank you Lebrun Contracting and Lachance Construction for you generosity.

Couple more days to go and all anglers will meet up at the Kapuskasing Sports Palace for registration, beverages and fishing stories. Who will be the top team this year?

Our tournament is coming up this weekend and we are still looking for volunteers on Aug 9th, 10th and 11th. You are only available for a day or even only for a morning or afternoon, no problem, the committee appreciates all help they can get. Come and support your community event. Please message us for details if interested.
