I was going to be on the fence about posting this, but I think it's really important for people to know. I get that YOU might not be scared to get a little sick..., trust, I was right there with you, but please for the love of everything that is holy, DO YOUR PART! It's not about you, it's about WHO YOU MIGHT pass something onto, to someone who might not be able to recover. This shit is real, and it sucks. Hard. For those who didn't know anyone who had the 'VID, now you do. This was me a week ago. I was admitted to the Mis after laying low at home feeling not so great trying to rid my cough. I received a positive COVID test, with a lot of super fun (not) symptoms. Guys... for some, this isn't just 'another cold' or 'another flu'. I had no flu like symptoms. The coughing and the Volcano Chest (I deemed it) were so unbearable and unliveable that I had to seek out medical help. Chest Xrays showed Atypical pneumonia including Covid. I was in isolation in the hospital for 4 days before I was released. I had vital checks every 4 hours, blood glucose checks every 2 hours after i ate, temperature checks every 4 hours, 2 sets of antibiotics daily, steroids, blood thinner shots every night, blood work every morning, and 3 non stress tests every day for babe. This is not fun, and I don't wish this on anyone. If you have an opportunity to just do your part, it could save someone like me from wasting another 2 weeks of my life being hooked up to IV's, monitoring systems, and generally overall feeling like death. Or even so, someone who might not be able to handle the sickness. It's not just an older crowd who is getting this. I am doing MUCH better now, but was told my energy levels can be sucked dry for a couple weeks/months. If you have questions, please fire me a PM! I'll answer what I can. I've got another 3 days of isolation, and a gazillion more tests I now have to get done weekly/monthly to make sure baby and I are still on the up and up! **no, I was not told it was a variant or not **no, I do not know where it was contracted from, we never went anywhere **everyone who needed to quarantine/get tested has, and has been following AHS guidelines
