Mum's been working on my coat, I've be...en telling her not to bother, I'm handsome no matter what! Whimsey was so happy to see her too until she realized her agenda!! Hi everyone, Scout here, Mum and I tried agility again....she was a bit better, even showed some moments of brilliance. I think we're getting somewhere! Inst...ructor Cindy tried to be helpful and showed her how to give directions, that was quite useful! I did my best to do what she said, I just don't know why she kept asking me to jump over the tunnel. I know that I'm meant to go through the tunnel not over it! Maybe next time we'll be better! See more

Hi everyone, Scout here, perfect pic of my nose, Don't you think...officially our 1st selfie. We've been busy and I have to get Mum to type what I dictate, bu...t she's hard to nail down. Anyways, different adventure today..I met this Cindy lady, Whim knows her, nice type, dog friendly! Anyway, the new plan is that "we" are going to teach Mum agility! Whimsey warned me about this.....I have to admit that I was a bit excited, Mum muttered something about me being "over the top" and "schreeching", you know how she exagerates! So, Mum tried but we really have our work cut out for us...stay tuned, this is going to be a fun ride... well kinda. We did run into old friends Melissa and Showy Sue, very happy to see them! Hi Everyone, Scout here, I'm on top of the world! I'm home! So many adventures to tell. Sorry I haven't posted anything, I've been so busy meeting and gre...eting everyone and mum's been busy doing stuff and she has to type my dictation....what an adventure! Leggy Liz took me to the airport and handed me over to my traveling companions. I travelled on planes, buses and cars...wow...then ... there was my mum. I was so excited to see her ( even though she was wearing a face mask and social distancing!). I nearly licked that mask off, yes, I peed, I can't help it, I was so happy to see her! I yiped and squeeaked, it was fantastic! Leggy Liz and Mower Matt always look after me and I love my Cav Fam but she's my mum! On a sad note Whim said Bounce went for a drive and didn't come back, that's sad! It's different with out him so now I guess I'm head of the family! I'm back!!! Woo Hoo! See more

Hi everyone, Whimsey here.....exciting weekend. We went to Anglestone to help my friends ( piggys family) at a jumper show! Those horses can jump some big ju...mps! Pretty impressive. My mum tried to get a photo of me "being supportive"...unfortunately you'll have to zoom in on the picture to see me! I was doing my job but I need to be a bit bigger to see properly over the barricade! Not many people there, they weren't allowed, I was allowed to be supportive and I didn't have to wear a mask....everyone else did! See more

I'm working on cheering her up...I'm prepared to play ball whenever she's ready! I heard her talking to Leggy Liz and I know they ate trying to get Scout home...that would be awesome. Hi everyone, Whimsey here. There's a lot of washing going on at the barn. I think my Mum has the washing machine running the whole time we're there. Sooo..I ...think it's time for my Rule #2. It's totally forbidden to wash girl Cairn Terriers. Exceptions... maybe Skunking! Scout likes water so he can have bath if he wants but I'm not into "bathing". It's taken me quite sometime (I think there's a theme here!) to educate Mum to tip the water bucket at the right angle for me to get a drink, don't want to get my feet wet! Stay safe everyone! Hi everyone, Whimsey here....I think I have to accept that normal is different now. Things are different, firstly Scout is not here, sooooo, I decided to make... my own rules! Rule #1: Never ever go anywhere without a ball! My mum, as I've said before, is great in many ways but, there's always a but, right? I have really had to work very hard at getting her to realize that she needs to work on her ball throwing skills. Part of my job at the barn, mainly because noone else is there, is entertainment. She's got the part that she has got to throw the ball, that took some work, believe me, no matter what utensil she using, I have to put the ball on it or in front of it otherwise she doesn't get it! Now look where the ball ended up today, how am I supposed to find it there? So, now I'm trying to work on getting her to understand what the different barks mean. Clearly repetitive barking means ....I can't find the ball!! In time she'll get it, I'm a patient (sone people) would call me persistant teacher. Stay safe everyone!! See more

Hi everyone....Whimsey here. I'm aware that when Scout's away that I'm meant to keep the fb page up todate! We've been busy! I don't when I'm going to see Sc...out and Lyra again...we are all in the same boat. I miss them, Mum's pretty good company and she tries hard but she's not that heavy duty a player! She's always busy. Life is very different now, quite strange in fact. Normally I see lots of my friends but now it's Mum and Magic Mike. I did see Lovely Lori (Magic Mike's wife) briefly yesterday ...from a distance, she bought a treat out. We are all in the same position, stay home, stay safe!! I'll work on the fb page! See more

Yes everyone...get a ball!

Hi everyone, Whimsey here, I am available.....I can bring my own ball! Reasonably busy day already. Barn chores, checked all horses, entertained Mike, he reall...y likes playing ball as much as me! Then off to the store to try to pick up stuff for friends. Mum has to do this because I'm not allowed in....just think of all the new friends I could make! Then delivery, no visiting just delivering! Then gas, mum says Port Perry gas stations are ripping us of.....then unfortunately a car wash, not my favorite activity, but she knows that so we shared an ice cream. Mum ate most of it, I just get whats left on the stick, apparently the size of my stomach has to monitored...her rule not mine....then home.....squirrell chasing until its time to go back to the barn!!! Good morning everyone, Whimsey here. Yesterday was an interesting day! I got a minimal breakfast and we didn't go to the barn, something was up! Night before... Mum was putting stuff in the car, quite normal, doing my hair, personally, a waste of time...we were doing something different! We head off and arrive at a dog place, my Mum decided to enter an agility trial. Oh boy, I have some idea what I'm doing ( thank you Leggy Liz), she doesn't have a clue. We have had 2 agility lessons recently, I should have been suspicious then! On the up side we got to spend some time with Christine, Nike, Adele and Condor ....at least I know them. Mum went with a strategy, follow the numbers....everyone else was strategizing with front crosses, rear crosses, back etc etc, she had no clue. She was a great sport, got excited at the right times, only nearly tripped over me once, her fault not mine! She learnt that in the weave poles I enter TO the left not FROM the left, big difference, trust me. She also learnt thst the teeter is NOT done with as a running contact as then it bangs too hard and frightens me, overall I was pretty proud of her....lets hope she gets over this soon so we can go back to normal. As for me, I coped beautifully....my Mum is a keeper!!! See more

Hi everyone, Scout here, I'm the handsome guy on the right! Just to clarify things. Awesome day, our friend Donna bought her husband Sandy to the barn. We ...all played ball forever! Our tongue's were hanging nearly to the ground but we didn't want to stop, Sandy was having too much fun. Mum's pretty good a ball but she struggles doing more than one thing at a time. She's finally mastered sweeping and moving the ball, she can fill up buckets with water and kick the ball. It really takes quite a while training these people. We have to put the ball on the track of the arena so the horse she's riding can kick the ball. Just chillaxing on the couch until Mum's ready to go outside and play. Hi everyone, Scout here, sorry I haven't had much time to write because we've been unbelievablely busy. Here we are just taking a short break, actually on our... way to Canadian Tire for the 3rd time in an hour. We are having trouble finding the correct length screw. We're renovating!!!! I don't know much about this except that the house has changed color and all of the furniture is moving. Can't find anything. Whim and I are spending a lot of time outside because we are too helpful. Our friend Kathy is helping Mum, they both look pretty tired. They need to spend more time with us chasing squirrels, much more fun!!! See more

Hi everyone, Whimsey here. Meet my new friend Georgia.....she got very excited when she met me today ..... her mum "Marnilicious" bought her to the barn so sh...e could watch me teach "Charlie". I had a blast, I ran round and round in circles, I did everything I could to get Georgia to play with me...she did frolic a little bit but then she went back to sitting with Marnilicious. I sat with her too. She brings stuff for my mum. She bought the best meat and pasta dish the other day...delicious, well the plate was anyway!!! Great night all round! See more

Whimsey here, hi everyone. I was just telling one of my new best friends "Helpful Ian" about my day! Very very busy 24 hours. Mum and I drove to Virginia, I d...id sleep pretty much all of the way but I provided lots of moral support! Helped in the barn getting Gambit ready and everything ready. Very exciting!! Then Mum, "Charlie" and I walked the cross country course. Wow, I went swimming, well in water up to my belly, that deep! I posed on jumps, I did so much....more photos to follow! See more

Scout here....interesting evening. I thought Mum and I were going to visit "Stripper Jan", well that what she said anyway. Instead I had a sleepover. I tried ...to explain that there was no need to "mess with perfection", I'm making that a rule...#11, but of course no one listened. I have to say that given an option and I wasn't, Stripper Jan wins. At least she doesn't need a picture to look at to see if I look ok. I love my Mum but she needs to stick to grooming horses! Hi everyone, Whimsey here...I know Scout is back and it's his task to keep our fb page up to date but I have a problem.....I have a pretty good life, Mum's ok,... nice back yard, plenty of friends but I feel I'm not reaching my full potential! ISO...union rep or someone out there that looks after our interests! I get home today after visiting "London Janice" and there's this quite nice guy in the back yard, seemed pleasant enough, friendly, gave great behind the ear scratches, obviously dog friendly, then I find out he's Karl from Invisible Fencing! I mean, really, I've only gone visiting a few times (Scout says I'm to blame) and now this....it's ok for Scout, he travels the world and loves the back yard because he loves Squirrel watching. I have bigger dreams..... look who I met the other day after working on the "great escape" for weeks, Neighbour Dave, great cook, caring, sharing guy..he did report my escape but in his defense he was just trying to do the right thing. Now I can only dream of whats out there, dream of playing with Studley our boxer neighbour, dream of what Country Style has in their dumpster, dream of whats out there for me. Is there anyone out there that understands my problem? See more

Scout here....busy busy day. Lots of time spent in the cat helping mum navigate to Amsterdam NY.....exhausting!!! We all sang along to the radio....Mum could s...one help in the singing department....Met lots of nice new friends. Sharedxan ice cream from the "best" ice cream store EVER, according to the locals. Now we are all lying on the bed at Super 8....singing again.. great times are being had by all...I think thats a rule!!! See more

Hi everyone...Whimsey here. We've had an interesting morning, another learning opportunity. You've already seen mum's great photo's....I missed the photo op, ...I was busy playing ball!! I digress, last night after mum finished teaching "London Janice" ordered in some really great tasting lasagna. I, of course, did not get to taste it but I heard all about it while I patrolled the counter in case some was dropped....no luck! There was so much food that London Janice packed some up for Mum's lunch today, I offered to help but no one took me up on the offer. After teaching this morning we headed home to teach. We had to call in at a well known riding establishment to teach "Hound dog Marianne". Mum didn't know what to do with the "lunch"....took one look at me and said I wasn't to be trusted ... I thought that was a bit harsh, I've only eaten a few of her lunches and in my defense she didn't say not to. She ummed and arred where to put the lunch then decided on the side step of the truck would work 'cos I couldn't get it. She teaches and comes back and "the lunch" is gone....container and all!! Oh boy.....she used some language not suitable for facebook....similar to when I "accidentally" ate her cabbage rolls....then the culprit came back to check if there was more. I mean, really, at least I plead innocent!! This is definately an example of Scouts rule#7 Not lost what a friend gets. It was a dog that stole the lunch afterall. Maybe it's Karma for not trusting me!! See more

Whimsey here....hi everyone. Scout and Lyra are still away competing.....I got my mum to text Leggy Liz and tell her that she can keep them!!! I am having so... much fun. I am my mums centre of attention. I get fed first and I get the best seat in the house. I have to admit that I do miss playing with them a bit but when mum plays ball with me I get the ball every time.....it's awesome. Here I am sitting in Magic Mikes golf cart.
