The most popular questions I get every day are surrounded around the concept of motivation. How do you get motivated? How do you find motivation? How do you stay motivated?... My answer: I don’t. Y’all if I relied on motivation to show up I would have never started. It wasn’t motivation that got me up early to workout. It wasn’t motivation that helped me start eating healthy. It wasn’t motivation that makes me show up on the hard days. Motivation is fleeting. I almost NEVER feel like working out but the burn in my belly to be the BEST version of myself is stronger than my excuses. Stop waiting for motivation to start. Stop waiting to feel like it to show up. Stop waiting for someone else to get you off your ass. Get up, chug your pre, and get to WORK.

I ALWAYS used to tell myself TOMORROW would be the day I’d get up early But when it’s cold or I’m tired and I can just do it another day and there’s no one to drag me out of bed, it’s SO HARD!!! The REALITY though was that I needed something to get up FOR. The results were undeniable: whenever I made it happen and did something for myself first thing, I never ever regretted it!! If a big risk doesn’t scare you at least a little bit, you MIGHT be crazy. Fear is a natural instinct! It just shouldn’t be allowed to make our decisions. Fear said I shouldn’t learn to ride a bike. It said I shouldn’t try out for the dance team in highschool. It said I shouldn’t open my heart to love again after getting it broken. It said I shouldn’t invest in my fitness and try something new, then quit my 9-5 to chase my dream of helping others workout for a livin...g. Well, we all know now that fear is a big fat liar. True or False... Being stuck inside during a global health crisis without access to a gym or to specific fresh foods every day will definitely cost you progress and throw you off track. You just can’t get the same quality workout at home. uhh, nOoOo way!! So false!! ... A few years ago, that’s EXACTLY what I would have been thinking. I would have been PANICKING at not being able to get my 1.5 hours in at the gym every single day.
