Let’s talk nail shapes... Today it’s all about the almond. An almond nail is much like having almond eyes or oval face shape. They go with anything! It’s the most flattering nail shape (if done properly) and easiest to wear if you want some length. No matter your hand and fingers, they will give your hand a graceful look by making your fingers look long and lean. Already have long and lean fingers? No problem, they will keep them balanced and elegant and not overwhelm. ... The almond shape is the base shape of the trendy ballerina shape. Almonds are not to be mistaken for stilettos. But we will get into stilettos on another post. They are also not the same as the oval shape which again is another post. Almond is its own unique shape. It’s filed and shaped in a particular way that does take a trained eye to get just right. In nail competitions I learned to late that it’s not a good shape to pull off in competition as it is a finicky shape to get perfect. But when you do get it just right...there is just nothing like it. Almonds will always be a personal favourite of mine. Give them a try! Press on nails are a perfect choice for that bride who isn’t used to wearing nails, just wants them for her special day (and maybe honeymoon) and then take them off! ... I will work with brides to create their perfect customized sets. As I begin this mini series of bridal nails remember that the nails come in all shapes and sizes. Fancy or simple. It’s your day and your choice. To apply all that is needed is a drop of glue. To remove simple soak in warm water, soap and any kind of oil. Soaking time for gentle easy removal will depend on how much glue you used to apply. Message me for more information!
