Hello everyone, I haven't been posting very much or advertising very much the last few weeks as it's been a very busy summer with my munchkins, and because I'm currently expecting a 3rd little one due in February 2019. I am now in my second trimester and hoping to be feeling much more energized and a lot less nauseous then I have been the previous 13 weeks. French shellac on myself! :)

photo on the left: my shellac removal, note the healthy nails, happy cuticles, and no damage to the nail plate, this is what shellac is for! photo on the top right: improper shellac removal, with the esthetician/ nail tech blaming it on the product, claiming one product is better than the other when really it all comes down to your esthetician being educated in the proper method of removal. (they're removed the same way! So how can one do damage but not the other?) photo on... the bottom right: what happens when you pick your shellac off! You can have healthy, beautiful nails with shellac! All you have to do is come in for a removal and reapplication and your nails will thank you. Truth: shellac is a longer lasting, instantly drying, and can help you achieve the nails you've always wanted without sacrificing your nail health. You can grow your nails with shellac, I guarantee! Myth: Shellac weakens your nails, makes them brittle, and isn't healthy for your nails. Shellac only ruins your nails when its not removed properly; whether your tech is too rough, or you pick them off it will result in some of the nail being removed with the product which leads to breaking, flaking, thinned out nails. PSA: Shellac, and nail enhancements in general do not "ruin" your nails, inexperienced or nail techs/ estheticians that arent taking the proper time or method of removal however do, or clients that pick off their shellac / nail enhancements do. Furthermore nails are dead, just like your hair, and do not need to "breathe" you will see many products marketed towards you that cost more, and do nothing more than the product you were using before. Your nails receive all the oxyge...n and nutrients you need through your blood stream do not fall a consumer to products that simply cost more for the same effect. Many people ask me if I use the callus shaver when I do my pedicures, I do not, as its an extremely outdated practice that is actually counterproductive for the overall health of your feet. Cutting off skin send your body into healing mode which actually makes it grow back faster. Not to mention, if you've ever had too much skin taken off, you can be left with sore feet until the skin grows back, or worse could be cut like I've heard some horror stories of. I'm certified professional in esthetics, believe in my education not the misinformation you see on the internet. Most people writing articles on google, or random websites have no actual credentials when it comes to the various topics covered by esthetics.
