I woke this morning as a Canadian and if ever there was a Canada Day to celebrate that fact, this is the year. I am grateful to be a Canadian, and I am proud to be a Canadian where we live in a civilized free thinking society. Happy Canada Day to everyone. Go out and celebrate! Just a note to all my valued clients... if you've been phoning and trying to leave a message but the recording says my mailbox is full, please try again! For some strange reason our system can only handle three voicemails at a time. I know a lot of you have been trying to leave messages and I'm getting back to everyone as quickly as I can. I am excited to announce that Karma Living will be open again beginning on Friday June 19th! I hope everyone has been safe during these uncertain times. I am looking forward to catching up with all my clients! And I am now booking appointments for Tuesdays to Saturdays. (Closed Sundays and Mondays.) Please call me at 905-931-3365 to book your time. (As always, we don't book appointments through Facebook or online.) The health and safety of our clients is our top priority..., so here are some of the procedures we are following due to COVID-19: 1. Only one client permitted in our shop at a time. 2. Please wear a mask. If you don't have one, we will provide one. 3. Please don't arrive early, there is no waiting area inside. Arrive just before your scheduled time and please wait outside until I come and get you. 4. Please use hand sanitizer when you enter the shop. (And I suggest that you please use your washroom at home BEFORE you come to the shop if possible!) 5. We still accept cash only - we have no debit/credit machine. Due to the fact that more time must be allowed for extra sanitation procedures between appointments, we are only able to accommodate seven clients per day. Because of this and higher costs for health and safety supplies and equipment, I have unfortunately had to increase our prices. I know you will understand. Pedicure (with or without colour) is now $35 and Mani Pedi is $50. If you have any other questions, I will be glad to answer them when you call to book your appointment. I am so happy to be back... We want to let you know that we have had a conversation with the health board regarding the current COVID-19 situation and they have reassured us that as long as we are very diligent about our sanitizing and disinfecting procedures, Karma Living is still able to work with clients. As always, all equipment is disinfected thoroughly between clients. And we are now taking the additional precautions of wearing a mask when working with clients and doing frequent sanitizing of high touch areas. Thanks to the generosity of my clients' gratuities in December, John and I went to the casino before Christmas and had dinner and did a little gambling. We won! So the casino paid for our New Year's Eve celebration at Parker's Pub. This was the first time in 20 years we went to a bar on New Year's Eve and weren't the entertainment... and we had a blast! It was a wonderful start to a new year and I'm looking forward to an amazing 2020 with my Karma Living clients! -Dee

Cold weather is here to stay... shoes and boots are going on... and Dee swears we should be rubbing Vicks VapoRub on the bottoms of our feet and wearing socks to bed two or three times a week to help prevent colds. And she also says your feet will feel as soft as a baby's bum! :)
